I ranked the albums while rating them, and I had So It Goes... in 10th place out of 15 tracks on reputation - so while I'm not devastated that it's gone, I do think there's some worse offenders from that album!

HINTS FOR NEXT TWO SECTIONS - 141 to 150:

Y'all in double luck as you get double hints this time.

This is because we have a real range of songs leaving!!

In section 146-150, we have 5 different era's. It's the same breakdown in section 141-145.

3 albums lose one song in both the 146-150 section & the 141-145 section. Name them.

2 singles leave here. Though neither we're really properly pushed.

So as I said above, we have many era's losing songs here. 7 to be exact. As you can see above, we have 10 era's in and the only ones to lose zero songs yet are 1989/folklore/evermore. I can reveal of the 7 era's represented in the ten next songs, at least one era that's already lost a song between 151-186 isn't going to appear. So what era's are gonna pop up here, and which ones for the first time :o

get guessing away!!

continue getting y'all guesses in!! <3

#150-#146:

150. Hey Stephen [Avg. 6.77]
149. Stay Beautiful [Avg. 6.805]
148. This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things [Avg. 6.809]
147. Ronan [Avg. 6.86]
146. The Lucky One [Avg. 6.88]

In this section, there are four tracks from four different albums and a non-album track.

To lead us into the top 150 songs, we have Hey Stephen from Fearless. I actually only heard this song for the first time a few months ago and I liked it instantly. For sure, there are many better songs on the album but I also think there are a couple of other songs which haven’t gone out yet that should have left before this. It makes me feel sad that my younger self didn’t get to enjoy this back then. I can’t wait to hear Taylor’s version of this coming soon. I’m hoping for a more modern and sophisticated sound, perhaps bringing it out of the late 2000s. Although I don’t want it to lose that country pop feel. When looking through youtube, I found recordings of Taylor singing Hey Stephen live at her Fearless and Reputation tours. Despite all the screaming girls, seeing her singing it live made me appreciate the song even more - it just looks super fun. This song didn’t score any 10s but it did have a couple of 9s from myself and DionTheSats123. Most of its scores were on the lower side of average though, with the lowest being a 4 from Dexton.

At 149, is Stay Beautiful from Taylor’s first album. Again, I only heard this a few months ago and I connected with it instantly. I honestly feel this is one of the best songs on Taylor Swift and I’m disappointed it is the 5th song out from the album. I think the chorus is super catchy and find myself singing it later in the day. This song was given scores ranging from a 3 (Among Haus) to a 10 (DionTheSats123). It also received three 9s from myself, John-James and fellow mod Ultra. It’s really hard to find any live performances of this song so I’m presuming she doesn’t return to this song very often.

The next album to lose a track is Reputation with This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things. I think this song is okay - it has a petty awesome chorus with a cool vibe to it but personally I can't quite connect to the verses. It pretty much has the widest range of scores you can have (excluding scores of -1 and 11) with Blacksquare giving it a 0 and Tafty and Joseph Styles giving it a 10. The rest of us scored it somewhere in between - and it really is varied. Clearly you either love, hate or just aren’t quite sure when it comes to this song.

At 147 is a non-album track - Ronan. I didn’t realise until just now that this was a charity single and the lyrics are based on a blog by Mya Thompson about her four year old boy Ronan who died from neuroblastoma (an aggressive cancer). The song was written using quotes from the blog and Taylor also credits Maya Thompson as a writer. With this in mind, I’ve listened to the song again and I think I scored it too harshly. Reading into the context surrounding this song, it has taken on a new meaning for me and it also reminds me of just how beautiful and ‘human’ Taylor is. The song scored mostly average scores (a lot of 7s) with a high of 9.5 from John-James.

Finally, at number 146 is The Lucky One from Red. Being the 5th track out from Red seems quite fitting. IMO, it is a fairly average track and there are certainly many far better songs than this one on the album. It scored mostly average scores although Tafty gave it a score of 9.

Hey Stephen is cute bop but I don't really return to it. Maybe deserves to be like ~10 places higher but not too big of a loss. I always intertwine I Almost Do & The Lucky One so not too bothered at the latter being out now as well, both nice songs but Red filler.

Ronan is heartbreaking, a tough song to get through so I don't return to it too much but everything surrounding it is beautiful & its far too underrated on here

This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things issa BOP. Love it, deserved better. I think it'd probs make my top 100. Though tbf I did think it be like bottom 25 here so I'm kinda impressed it made the top 150!!

Stay Beautiful is fabulous & a highlight from self-titled  Again deserved better but considering the album it's from I'll take top 150 <3

'ME!' finishing so low is slightly amusing but also if we're backlashing one of her lead singles why is it that one (which, while a bit tacky, is ultimately harmless) rather than the actually awful 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' (which will no doubt be quite high up) or 'Look What You Made Me Do' xx

(Also :') at it finishing below 'I Forgot That You Existed')

I don't think any of those are awful. :(

#145-#141:

145. You Are in Love [Avg. 6.90]
144. The Outside [Avg. 6.92]
143. Gorgeous [Avg. 6.93 (less 10s)]
142. Stay Stay Stay [Avg. 6.93 (more 10s)]
141. Paper Rings [Avg. 6.95]

Here we have a section of all album tracks.

First out is a track from 1989, a bonus track that makes the first loss for the album in this rate. What I found about the song: "You Are in Love" is written about (her friends) Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff's relationship." It received one 10 (DionTheSats123) and a lower score of 5 (blacksquare, Qween). Several 6s were also given.

Second is another drop out from her debut album that Taylor wrote about loneliness when she was 12 years old. It received a high score of 9.5 (DionTheSats123) and a low score of 4 (Among Haus, jtkoon), several 7.5s and 6s.

Gorgeous is next, the third album track out (minus the remixes) from reputation. It received a 9.5 (DionTheSats123), two 9s (John-James, London), and a low score of 1 (blacksquare). Several 8.5s and 8s were given.

Next to go is another album track from Red. It received a 10 (JosephStyles), a 9.5 (London), and two 9s (MrAndrewMan, Nina West) Lowest score is a 3 (Cremey). Lots of 5s.

Last out (sadly) is a fun, upbeat pop song from Lover (fifth track out from the album not counting the remixes). It received a 10 from me. Other high scores include a 9.5 (DionTheSats123), and a 9 (Ultra's Version). On the lower end, we have some 4s (Cremey, Jade) and a 3 (blacksquare). Lots of 7s were given as well. What I found about the song: "Paper Rings is about Taylor's realization that wealth and luxury aren't nearly as important as her love, and that she'd happily marry her love with paper rings and skip all of the glamour."

A bit sad so see Stay Stay Stay & Paper Rings go, I really like both of those

I quite like Gorgeous too, the others are good but nothing special.

Not sad about you are in love. Possibly the worst song on the album so for sure not sad about it leaving first. But Stat Stay stay and Gorgeous  They are both so good. I quite like The Outside too although haven’t returned to it since I listened to it for the first time for the rate. But I think that’s mostly because Taylor keeps releasing new music which I have to listen to

HINTS FOR NEXT TWO SECTIONS - 141 to 150:

Y'all in double luck as you get double hints this time.

get guessing away!!

the era's losing a song in each section was self-titled, Red & Reputation!

and ofc 1989 has lost its first song :o only folkmore & speak now avoiding this section! (well and the Xmas collection :kink:)

I think it must be time for folklore/evermore to lose their first songs, can't see 'peace' or 'closure' staying for too much longer. Maybe they're 2 of the albums that lose 1 song each section?

For the 2 singles I'm thinking End Game and The Last Time.. or maybe Tim McGraw.

and folklore + evermore are the only 2 albums that still haven't lost anything!!! :o I'm v. surprised 1989 lost a track before either of them, I def wouldn't have predicted that!

the last time should be gone by now but unfortunately alas it's still in :( tbh I was probs really stretching the definition of single with gorgeous and Ronan

HINTS FOR 136 to 140:

Here's the place in this forum for some more hints! One song appeared on an album released today! One song is an unnecessary stain on her discography & came LAST in the ATRL rate of her entire discography. It's definitely true that one appears in this section! And its the first appearance of 2 for another song.

What 5 songs are leaving :o

will be coming later tonight!

I never understood why the reception to 'Gorgeous' was so underwhelming, it was the only one of the songs released ahead of 'reputation' that I liked at all oops
And its the first appearance of 2 for another song.

I'm not too sure about the others, but thinking this one is a Red Demo/Acoustic? Gonna guess State of Grace (Acoustic)!

And of course something from Fearless for the one that appeared on an album released today :cheer:
