I can't wait to hear it.

This new edition has excitement to it on a higher level than their debut.

Queens of not needing microphones to sing :kink: great to see an old television performance remastered, would love to see other artists put this effort in!!

lmao no microphones 🙈 glad they started to sing live again in later eras
Sorry for the ignorance, but do we know what the difference is between the two I'll Stand By You songs is?

The 2nd album was deffo a big step up and more exciting but the album reissues are largely a high cash in by the record companies. I’ve already got the cd singles box set and there is very little if any new material on these releases to make them worth buying.

I think as far as reissues go, this is actually one of the better ones in terms of value for what you're getting. You've got 3 previously unheard songs, a host of remixes which have been previously unavailable and different edits of existing tracks in studio form.

It's not like a Spiceworld kind of affair where they've done the bare minimum

Yeah! I don’t see how this reissue could feasibly be much better than it is. I struggle to think of any other pop reissue that includes as many as 14 tracks that can’t be found on any previous commercial releases.

To be honest in this day and age we’re lucky that the reissues aren’t just the vinyl. Girls Aloud’s team/label curating a new track list for cd and digital is additional effort, and they’ve put more into this track list than they really needed to.

I agree i think as reissues go its offering enough to make fans go out and buy it again.

Hmm. With the visuals they had at their disposal for this album I can't lie when I say I'm a bit underwhelmed by what's there!
I agree that more could have been done with it! I might get a mug and the white t-shirt anyway. :kink:

All of the remixes are already available on the box set. The edits don’t really appeal so that leaves just 3 new tracks. It’s a good set if you don’t already own the box set but for me it’s just a cash in and not something I’m interested in paying over £20 to buy.

Excluding the edits, there's still these that aren't found on the box set! -

Deadlines & Diets (Version 2)

I'll Stand By You (Electronic Mix)

I'm Every Woman

Wake Me Up (Flip & Fill Remix)

(Obviously it's anyone's prerogative to not want to buy it, my posts aren't fighting against that. My posts are just to highlight that there are a fair few tracks included that have never appeared on previous Girls Aloud releases. Including some edited mixes is a step beyond the label just settling to only include the original full lengths. I'm happy they've had a thorough search through the vaults to make a CD/Digital reissue as worthwhile as a reissue is feasibly ever going to be - at least they can be listened to on streaming for those who aren't fussed to buy it)

The label have clearly put work into the release and haven't just delivered a cheap cash in release.
