It would be lovely if they did do that, i think her fans would love to see it and it would also highlight a disease that so many people do not understand.

A week on from her tragic passing I still feel extremely sad at the loss of Nicki.

 

Imogen really is not impressed with Pete and its turned nasty, maybe im wrong but i think its an over reaction from Imogen, i dont think Pete done anything for money or attention as to me he has never came accross as that type of person when he won big brother. I think both are grieving for Nikki but the public spat isnt nice to see happening when her funeral hasnt even taken place.

That was absolutely heartbreaking :( the voice message the day before she died... 💔 and her mum struggling. It's so upsetting that isolation caused her to deteriorate again.

 

It's a very tough watch (and may be triggering for anyone suffering/recovering/recovered) but great awareness for how devastating and serious a disease anorexia is.

 

The positive memories were a strong reminder of why she was so popular and I loved seeing her humble reaction to the NTA win.

It was a heartbreaking watch, and I did shed a tear at the end. She really was such a vulnerable and troubled soul. :(

I recorded this tonight to watch sunday evening, we have visitors staying with us until sunday afternoon and i want to be able to sit down and watch it quietly myself as i know il find it emotional as i was always a huge fan of her.

It's not available on the channel 4 website, is that normal?

And remember this was the same series that had Lea sleeping with a knife under her bed incase Shahbaz attacked her in the night.

Absolutely, the selection process has a lot to answer for as I know the show has left Shabaz psychologically damaged.

I'm just glad she did get on tbh, I think she was clearly in a better place during the show and it's lovely that she did get what she got from the show, because she probably wouldn't have even lived this long without it. For probably the first time in her life she was happy and belonged and it brought out the best in her.

 

I have to wonder if the psych process was rigorous enough though tbh, like even though it was "only" 16 years ago, that was before a lot of the darker times for reality TV while it was at its peak. I seem to remember reading something that the testing process was tightened up/harsher at one point, and I think it might have even been post Shahbaz even? I can't remember when it was, but it rings a bell.

Big Brother by many was seen as ruining the lives of some contestants, with Nikki it was the complete opposite.

i am a bit confused about her being allowed on big brother... she had been institutionalized her entire life, left, and then went back into that atmosphere? it's quite evident that the ED sat with her throughout her life and i can imagine the highs and lows of fame contributed further...

 

i remember in june 2014 i met her and she was working in the hard rock cafe gift shop in Nice, France and she seemed very uninterested in ever returning to the UK or being a part of the celebrity world... i was of course baffled that i bumped into her a few years later at a showbiz party.

I think as Nickis friend on the tribute show mentioned Nicki grew up in institutions so been confined in BB was normal to her. Also the part when it was shown about the tree and patients were encouraged to go to that area to scream, shout etc explained when nicki used to do that in the garden in BB. It is strange how Nicki got on the show due to her history but I'm so glad she did as it was an ambition and as her mum said for that period it saved her life. Part of me thinks if Nicki had lived longer to hear the news of BB return it might have been what she needed and may have helped her in her battle as she would have the potential to be involved even if only on Bb bit on the side which she would have loved but we will never know. It's so hard she is no longer with us, and watching her tribute show highlighted how much she battled her whole life, it also showed what an awful disease anorexia is and how easy it is to relapse.
