It is doing very good on the sales chart but annoyingly it is not enough to retain a placement in the official chart.

Unfortunately the album is no longer in the midweeks Top 200! :( Their streaming is far too weak, unfortunately. It was #174 on Monday with 300 sales, but #200 sold 275, so it was easy for albums with stronger streaming to overtake (#200 today is 381 sales, so Steps have sold less than that).

The What the Future Holds chart run is... 2-14-18-25-44-77-107-156 (with 65,037 total sales)

Before the release I expected it to do worse to be fair, although after seeing Kylie's campaign I thought they'd have had near enough or the amount of same promo. They are on the same label right? Is there anything on sales for the singles from WTFH?

Kylie and Steps are indeed on the same label. I was expecting BMG to turn their attention to Steps after Kylie's album release but that didn't really happen; I guess they realised Kylie was their money-maker and focused all the promo on her. It's interesting that the Steps managed to perform on The One Show and Royal Variety which are the two promo slots that Kylie didn't get (she was interviewed on The One Show but didn't perform), perhaps they weren't able to get both acts doing the same promo?
I did think they would focus on Steps more once they had got Kylie the Number 1. For Steps they might be a little disappointed with BMG as tears on the dancefloor wasnt released with a big label but has done better or was doing better at the same point but steps did have to change their release date due to covid, they have had far less promo and no tour this time and as we all know covid has hit album sales hard.

'To the Beat of My Heart' is #34 on the sales only chart. These are the sales positions for Steps' songs since 2017:

07 Scared of the Dark

74 Story of a Heart

58 Dancing with a Broken Heart

10 What the Future Holds

22 Something in Your Eyes

50 Hold My Heart

34 To the Beat of My Heart

#32 - 490 sales - The Weeknd - Save Your Tears

#37 - 430 sales - Banners - Someone to You

Steps sold between those figures!

Dancing with a Broken Heart peaked very low for a brand new single. By the way Grat Under My Skin peaked at no 31, much higher than some official singles.

Do sales for chart position of To the Beat of My Heart include every version on the EP or just single version?

Poor neon blue really bombed then and its a shame as its brilliant.

The fact that Story Of A Heart is their lowest charting is disgusting though :snif:

At least it charted on a chart... Neon blue didn't chart anywhere... NOW that is disgusting. (But yeah I totally agree with you otherwise lol).

More than disgusting.

Initially i didnt love story of a heart and didnt get all the love other fans had for it but after a while it clicked with me and i love it now although not as much as neon blue.
