Glad I knew you were trouble made the top 15 :cheer: (even it deserved higher x)

When you posted the list of the top 20, there were only 4 songs I thought it’d be ahead of it (the ones that finished 16-18 and one still to come), so I’m glad it just about outdid my expectation 😂 still such a fabulous song <3

Literally love all this top 20 tho, whew the classics :cheeseblock:

JORDIN SPARKS - BATTLEFIELD
[This Rate Avg. 8.43]
[Rate Winning Avg. 9.34]

Highest Scores: George.keh, Cameron & Calum [11] + Ultra's Version, Dobbo, AaronTM, Klumzee, alohomora, LMLou, Tombo & Viper* [10]
Lowest Scores: SevenSeize [04] + blacksquare & Feel the Fever [05]

At 14 is JORDIN SPARKS - BATTLEFIELD. This song entered into this big rate through winning the Ryan Tedder rate and just like the running theme of this contest, it actually falls short of not one but TWO tracks which were also in that rate as both Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (which finished 2nd in the Ryan Tedder rate - but won Leona's singles rate) & Ella Henderson - Ghost (which only placed 6th in that rate - but won the X Factor alumni rate). Basically... Ryan Tedder is a FANTASTIC producer. ESPECIALLY for the big voiced pop ladies! What a song this is though. Absolutely brilliant song that peaked at #11... 3 TIMES in the UK chart

CLEAN BANDIT - SYMPHONY (FEAT. ZARA LARSSON)
[This Rate Avg. 8.48]
[Rate Winning Avg. 9.68]

Highest Scores: Dobbo [11] + NickF1, Chapman, Dexton, MrAndrewMan, dandy* & Eduardo [10]
Lowest Scores: Jade [03] + HausofArgento [06]

Up next is CLEAN BANDIT - SYMPHONY (FEAT. ZARA LARSSON) which is the 3rd and final entry for Clean Bandit. 'Symphony' was the winner of Zara Larsson's singles rate. This powerful, inspiring song manages to expertly infuse the strings with a soaring but subtle dance backing, which is the signature Clean Bandit sound, but manages to make it sound so special and euphoric with it's message. A song that seems to have worn a little thin on me due to over exposure, but still just as powerful when I can be bothered to listen.

Battlefield :cheeseblock: Such a masterpiece of a song and one of my faves of all time, 2 of my 3 faves in this rate finishing back-to-back

Gutted it missed the top 10 but at least it wasn't 11 :kink:

I definitely didn't give 'Symphony' a 10! I think it was a 3 :kink: I presume it's just the Taylor scores posted again, no worries, but yeah that song goes right through me despite liking both Clean Bandit and Zara in general oops.

'I Knew You Were Trouble' is my favourite to drop out so far.

Oops yeah! Definitely just IKYWT scores! Sorry peeps. :heehee:
Kinda surprised at myself giving Battlefield lower than a 10 tbh

ELLA HENDERSON - GHOST
[This Rate Avg. 8.51]
[Rate Winning Avg. 9.76]

Highest Scores: Chez Wombat [11] + Ultra's Version, Dexton, Feel the Fever, Cameron, Nina West, MrAndrewMan, Jay & Eduardo [10]
Lowest Scores: blacksquare & HausofArgento [06] + Dobbo, X leww X, SevenSeize & Tombo [07]

Leaving us at number 12 is ELLA HENDERSON - GHOST. This came 6th in the Ryan Tedder rate which included both 'Battlefield' & 'Bleeding Love' and whilst it didn't beat the latter, it finishes above the former in this rate! Such a storming debut. Literally one of the most perfect songs to launch somebody with. As stated earlier, Ryan Tedder seems to work his absolute BEST with powerhouse female vocalists. This was fairly different from what we were used to getting with Tedder at that point, but it worked massively to Ella's favour as the single stormed to number 1 in the UK and was a big hit elsewhere too. Great song that has aged wonderfully!

LEONA LEWIS - BLEEDING LOVE
[This Rate Avg. 8.53]
[Rate Winning Avg. 9.74]

Highest Scores: Ultra's Version, Chapman, AaronTM, Cameron, Tafty, MrAndrewMan, JosephStyles, LMLou, Jay, Tombo & Eduardo [10] + Riser, HausofArgento & Viper* [09.5]
Lowest Scores: Chez Wombat [-01] + SevenSeize [04]

Missing on a top 10 position is LEONA LEWIS - BLEEDING LOVE which becomes the highest song to not receive a single score of 11! One of the most defining power ballads of the 00's. Released in 2007, Leona was instantly pushed in the UK with 7 weeks at the top of the UK charts with this. It also became a MASSIVE worldwide hit where in the US it not only hit #1, but was the 17th biggest song of the Decade (2000-2009) as well as being just the 2nd song in history to reach number 1 in 35 countries including Japan, Germany & the US... the only other song to do that at the time was Elton John's tribute to Princess Diana 'Candle In the Wind'! A huge song and deservedly so. Tedder really hit the jackpot with this one!

Pretty solid top 10 in general (can't remember my 11 oops, but I think one of them's there).

I didn't know Ghost was Ryan Tedder's work. Great song. I would have given it one of my 11s, but I thought it would perform better.

DESTINY'S CHILD - LOSE MY BREATH
[This Rate Avg. 8.61]
[Rate Winning Avg. 9.25]

Highest Scores: Dexton [11] + Chapman, AaronTM, Tafty, JosephStyles, Riser, Jay, Tombo & Eduardo [10]
Lowest Scores: Calum [05] + Dobbo [06]

DESTINY'S CHILD - LOSE MY BREATH starts off the top 10. My favourite Destiny's Child song and it's such a massive banger. Gets you hyped up really quickly and just makes you feel really empowered and powerful, at least to me aha. The video is great too with the ladies having a dance off with different variations of themselves as different characters. Makes the production hit that bit harder. This sound is still felt in today's climate, not as much as a few years ago but it's still around. Little Mix reference/get inspired by it a lot most notably on their 'Salute' album. Just a massive banger that is thoroughly deserving of it's place in the top 10 here. CLASSIC.
Vastly overrated imo. I remember it being played a lot back in 2004 but I prefer all of their 00/01 singles.
