Phew! That took me friggin' ages to prep earlier cos of the eternal lengths it takes to get Buzzjack's BB codes to work, but I'm glad I finished it.

 

Obvs thrilled by that winner and Rollo finally getting a win in a song contest and what are the chances of my top 4 being the top 4? :wub: So much love to all of them, I'm so sorry to Dobbo when you read this back, but I couldn't resist the tension really and you've won before so I figured you wouldn't mind x If I stuck to order of receipt, Mike Foyle did only start to get a lead with the last sets of votes but it was pretty clear in the end. Crazy how dominant and big gaps there were in the leaderboard.

 

I'm alright with 12th, seemed like the piano based tracks, Mike Foyle aside, didn't really take off, so I'll take being amongst the higher performing ones xx Very pleased to also see Ivan Torrent and Lucine Fyelon in the top 10!

I can't remember how I found my winning song. I see I added it to my Spotify playlist on 2nd April 2019 which is when confirmations were open for the Club Bizarre instrumental edition so I must have found it while looking for a song to enter there. I entered Atomic Hooligan who finished bottom so my lack of judgement then seems to have paid off now.

thanks everyone who liked Apprehension, it was supposed to be long as the winner though, as I feel that this type of tracks opens in full only being extended or at least original version. Congrats Rollo, that was a nice track!

 

I was going for a Two Steps From Hell thing too :( I actually did find that on a melodic dubstep playlist, I knew it wasn't the most dancey but I thought it did do the modern classical sound very well. Tough theme for me, surprisingly, because most of my strong dance ideas rely on electronic bases. Flute deserved better as well, that was a really unique track.

Oh my word my heart during this readthrough :lol: I could never tire of it!

 

First off I'd like to say absolutely no worries at all Chez with that reveal, I had a feeling there was going to be one hell of a foot-shoot given the way you were revealing the votes and as it turned out the final vote pushed the winning track even further ahead anyway. It was the best way to build up tension with leaving all the main contenders till the end and the ride was totally worth it :D

 

Anyway I cannot have any qualms whatsoever about said foot-shoot as WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WINNING SONG :wub: Seriously, that was an absolute masterpiece Rollo and has the be best winner of any Club Bizarre ever (except for maybe Warsaw :kink: which iirc you reciprocated the 12 points for?) Keeno was a great entry too and would have been my tip for the win. Good to see Apprehension also top 5 and the batshit crazy Venetian Snares just sneak the top 10, what a listen that was!

 

On the flipside I'm disappointed Lonelier finished so low. Didn't expect it to be to popular on here but it really stood out. Edgar Hopp deserved better too - thought it fit the theme very well.

 

As for my own performance thanks to all the voters especially all those 12s :o I thought it may suffer a bit with the other 2 trance entries but they all ended up doing pretty well in the end. I'm also happier to come third instead of second as it means I've finished in all of the top 5 positions now. Congrats Rollo on your first song contest victory :cheer:

 

Super job with this Chez, really enjoyed the commentaries too and an all round great theme. Can't wait for the next volume :w00t:
