PLEASE can it be better than the last two singles.

I can see why people didn't go crazy for it as it is very lowkey but I'm really liking 'Lost Cause' and finding it to be growing on me each time I've listened to it so far. Actually she hasn't missed for me at all this era, 'Your Power' in particular is up there with the best songs from her first album for me - ironically my least favourite of the singles so far is the only one that's actually done well commercially for more than one week though lmao (Your Power > Lost Cause > my future > Therefore I Am, but all of them have at least made the top 30 on my personal chart).

 

I think at this stage it's looking like the album isn't going to do anywhere near as well as her debut, I expect it'll still have a pretty huge first day on streaming but if there isn't any more wide appealing stuff on there I can see it dropping off quite quickly as the last couple of singles did.

I really like Lost Cause too, but I really didn’t enjoy Your Power or my future so I’m hoping I enjoy the album as much as I did with her debut!

I love Your Power and is one of the best songs of 2021... Lost Cause was a mis-step imho, it's just an album track but shouldn't have been picked up as a single... I wish they had picked the title track instead as it sounded much better from the short preview...

 

Looking forward to this new one, I have lowered my expectations a bit now, so not to be disappointed like with Lost Cause...

NDA is amazing, wow, mind-blowing... this should have been the single instead of Lost Cause, a million times better

 

more electronic and interesting, not that dissimilar to You should see me in a crown but more mellow

Oh ‘NDA’ is great, love the plucking sound and big electronics (again very Portishead like) feel. 5th track in a row I really like from Billie and on initial impression my favourite of these new tracks. But these are all album tracks apart from ‘Therefore I Am’.

Crisis averted. This is really good.

Her enunciation is difficult to keep up with in the verses but otherwise this is very cool, more reminiscent of her previous era *.*

This really isn’t good either, better than lost cause which isn’t difficult but nothing she’s put out this era has interesting at Ed me at all. She’s so overrated

Pretentious as ever but at least it's more interesting than 'Lost Cause'.

NDA is the best of the recent bunch for me. I am triggered though as the song ends because Therefore I Am is coming in and it just ends, so I kind of wish they'd done a standalone edit of the song.

‘NDA’ is by a long way the best of a poor bunch this era and it’s only a 6/10!

NDA is by far my favourite thing from the album so far, exactly what I was wanting from her

I am quite worried about this not performing that great so far, already down to #50 on AM, when it’s pretty much what a lot of people have been waiting for from her. Hopefully there’s a great potential hit on the album or it might underperform a bit

She just needs to push the tempo up just a little bit more really with a single that will take this era flying

I think there's a bit of fatigue, too many pre-album songs, some underwhelming

 

NDA would be doing better if Lost Cause had never happened...

'NDA' is so much more like it! I much prefer this style for Billie. That said, 'Lost Cause' has grown on me and I can kinda see 'Your Power' sounding better within the album, it just doesn't scream single to me.
