July 27, 20213 yr Shame ‘NDA’ just missed out on a second week top 40. After a seemingly endless wait though, album is out this Friday. Really excited and got her previous album on lock. ‘Lost Cause’ is a bit weak but very pleased with her other 4 singles and hoping for classic album tracks. Never was a huge fan of her visual imagery for her last album (loved the music though) so glad it’s softer here. Edited July 27, 20213 yr by Smint
July 27, 20213 yr NDA for me is a better song from Billie Eilish. She is a bit of hit and miss lately but NDA brings uniqueness that I have not found on her previous songs
July 27, 20213 yr I'm loving 'NDA' too, think it's at least my 2nd fave single from the era and potential for it to overtake 'Your Power' as my fave. I think if that had been an earlier single it could have been a bigger hit? Much as I do like 'Lost Cause' I'm not sure why she saw fit to release that before this one! Unfortunately the hype around this era seems to be draining rapidly, I hope it'll come back around when the album actually drops.
July 28, 20213 yr Wonder if 'Therefore I Am' will return to the top 40 with the insta reset to SCR rule change after a 25% increase in streams? Not sure if the others would do enough numbers Edited July 28, 20213 yr by Smint
July 28, 20213 yr I'm not sure it'd get enough of a boost to make the top 40 again even with a reset tbh. Especially since it's right near the end of the album. It seems to have dropped out of the top 1,500 on Apple Music entirely (and isn't top 200 on Spotify).
July 29, 20213 yr The title track is track #1 on New Music Friday Australia/New Zealand, so may be getting pushed as a single?. It's also been getting by far the most praise from what I've seen from fans who've heard the album by now.
July 29, 20213 yr the title track is actually the song Im looking forward to the most, she did a preview on her YT special and seems like a nice little folkish tune on ukelele
July 29, 20213 yr Just announced a video for the title track will be out tomorrow, so seems like it will be the next single. The positive response so far for it has me optimistic but its very low down on the tracklst which may affect streaming a bit, in the first few days at least
July 29, 20213 yr oh my Happier than Ever the song is the best thing she's ever done... this should have been the lead 2 months ago the song is amazing, starts slow but there's a break in the middle of there song and it becomes something completely different really feels like a monkey picked up the singles at random
July 30, 20213 yr 09 Getting Older 04 I Didn't Change My Number - finneas that production is a nope... 09 Billie Bossa Nova 09 my future 10 Oxytocin 08.5 Goldwing 07 Lost Cause 09 Halley's Comet 05 Not My Responsibility - basically a spoken word full length song 06.5 OverHeated 08 Everybody Dies 10 Your Power 10 NDA 09 Therefore I Am 11 Happier Than Ever 09 Male Fantasy SO GOOD :cheeseblock: I've been so hyped for this for ages and have loved most the pre-release songs (I'm one of the few that will put Your Power & NDA up there with her best). Can't choose an 11 between those 4 yet as adore them all so much & there close together, tho probs one of the 2 new tracks will snatch that, scrap that 2nd listen of title track and that's my 11, the last two mins are EPIC <3 Only a couple tracks I'm not massive on but such a great album on the whole
July 30, 20213 yr Had a quick listen, standouts were definitely Oxytocin, NDA and Happier Than Ever. Can’t see me returning to the rest of the album much at all though
July 30, 20213 yr Listening to and loving first track. Thanks to people who posted reviews - will def listen to it properly over the weekend and can try and acclimatise myself to this new work. Brave having her singles (apart from 'My Future' )low down track listing
July 30, 20213 yr This is a fantastic album and leagues better than the debut — I'll be surprised if people don't come around to this after originally being lukewarm on the singles. I love the soundscape they went with on this — very nostalgic, almost Portishead-like in places, but varied too. Production is incredible.
July 30, 20213 yr This album is way better than her debut, I'm shocked. She really clowned us with those single choices. Edited July 30, 20213 yr by 365
July 30, 20213 yr 'Oxytocin' is waaaay better than anything released so far, why didn't they release that? I mean, to release 'Lose Cause' over that is plain MENTAL.
