I made a comment in Gezza's countdown thread that the album bomb impact of Ed Sheeran's '÷' hadn't really been matched since - unless I am forgetting something obvious this Olivia album seems to be the closest we have had since that? It definitely looks like her songs are going nowhere any time soon! (Obviously there have been other albums that did similarly on their first day but Ed's album was unique in managing to maintain absolute dominance for weeks with many songs if anything only climbing)

I'd mention Drake's 'More Life', also released in March 2017, had many tracks stay in the top 40 for 2 weeks with a couple of tracks 'Passionfruit' and 'Blem' actually climbing in the second week.

'folklore' was nowhere even remotely close to the success of the Ed album bomb, its third highest song was only #31 in week 2. 'More Life' is a slightly better example but I think Olivia is doing better than that as well? (Of course it's possible she might start dropping quickly some time soon, it's still quite early, but I just have a feeling she's going to keep all of her songs in the top 40 on Spotify/Apple for at least 2 or 3 weeks based on what we've seen so far)
Talking of the man himself, I wasn't following it too much at the time as the songs were really bad but how did long did Ed's No.6 Collaboration project last on Spotify - he had 4 top 10s around that time but did the other album tracks hang around for a few weeks?
No.6 Collaborations was the one I was going to mention. That would have invaded the chart without the three track rule wouldn't it, although not to the same extent as Divide.

ZITTI E BUONI at #13 today, its numbers have actually risen to 250k! :cheer:

Dadi Freyr still in there at #38 too

They have been holding up really well on Apple so I was hoping that was a good sign that they would at least stay top 30 or so for a second day - only down one place and actually rising in streams is amazing, they keep surpassing expectations :cheeseblock: (to think the other day I was unsure if we'd see any Eurovision songs even making the top 100 lmao).

Safe to say they should be easily top 40 this week then and probably a fair bit higher than they were in today's update? I really hope they will actually stick around in the charts for more than a week too. (Maybe a small chance that Daði could yet climb into the top 40 for this week as well - eagerly awaiting the full top 200 update to see how 'SHUM' is holding up, that's also been holding strong on Apple so far).

In other news many of Olivia's songs are climbing again today - she now holds 11 of the top 16! 'traitor' is up to #6, 'brutal' back to its peak of #7, and new peaks for a second day in a row for 'happier', 'favorite crime' and 'hope ur ok' at #10, #12 and #16 respectively.

Good 4 U is up to 1,258 million

thats more than Friday or Saturday I think

the other måneskin song also in at #91

#64 Our Song

#105 What A Time

what a time about to hit the top 100 :cheer:

Guitars are back! :o

I know Good 4 U is more pop with guitars but with that and Zitti E Buoni suddenly exploding, I do wonder if a rock revival in the singles chart is just around the corner?

'SHUM' only dropping 2 places to #56, and it's now the 3rd highest Eurovision song!!

Other Eurovision songs:

57 Barbara Pravi

63 Blind Channel

100 Elena Tsagrinou

111 Gjon's Tears

112 THE ROOP

117 James Newman

119 Destiny

190 Efendi

Holding up extremely well across the board (James Newman having the biggest drop though it appears oops).

ARGH at Måneskin actually having a second song in the top 100 as well - I have to assume this is just a case of TikTok adopting them very quickly :o
