Seeing rumours that a new version of the current Years & Years single 'Starstruck' will be released next week with none other than Kylie herself!

 

I don't know if there's any truth in that though, and I can't say I'm a fan of the song.

Feel like this could be happening. It appears to come from a reliable source and there's a lyrics and artwork on Genius (although it could be fan-made).

Oh my!!! That would be fantastic. Olly joined Kylie a few years ago during her Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall gigs, and that was such a fun collab.

I think a collaboration between them in official form has been a long time coming, hopefully they can work together on an original song at some point. I quite like 'Starstruck', it's a little basic/Y&Y-by-numbers but still a bit of a bop and I'm sure our Kylie will elevate the song.

Have to say I really don’t like the song but always here for more Kylie - it’s a shame that this remix could potentially make it return to the Top 40 and Kylie won’t be credited :drama:

I do not like Years for Years at all.

 

But a couple of their songs are Ok. She should sound good on this. I would think she would also get the credit on the song

 

Years for Years has 8.3m Spotify listeners and would maybe get her a few playlists too

I'm not a huge years and years fan but some of their (now his) stuff is ok including starstruck, I really his brits performance with Elton of it's a sin.

This! The first Y&Y album was/is iconic, the 2nd one was a let down and now we’re in the generic pop fodder stage, wasted opportunity as between them they could release an absolute anthem.

If she can be officially credited it could get kylie a 2021 top 75 to her name and the exposure alone can do no harm at all.

She won't be officially credited, it'll be like how (for example) Ariana Grande isn't credited on The Weekend's 'Save Your Tears'.

With the weekends example the version without ariana is better, I hope its the opposite with kylie on starstruck.

She is singing on this song and not another because this is the single they released in April lol. She's not going to sing on King when they are promoting Starstruck lol.

 

It's catchy and I am sure Kylie fans will support it and as well as years for years and may well help her streaming numbers for a whole too on Spotify etc which of course will be her main aim to get streaming higher regardless of if it is a Disco track or not

She'll be credited on Apple Music, Spotify, and all the various platforms. She won't be credited on the official chart.
