Very basic question and apologies if it’s been asked already - but why isn’t K credited officially?

Because it's only a remix version of an existing hit!

Hopefully starstruck is close to top 50 fir June 4th week and the cd single might help push it back into the top 40. If it was counted this week they may have managed top 20.
This has been quite a clever ploy actually, they know how Kylie fans collect anything with her name on it so throwing out a physical has worked wonders to save the single.

Clever indeed and right to take advantage.

It's a win for all

Fair play to Universal in restocking in record time after the Kylie fans cleared them out in minutes

That’s the benefit of CD over vinyl - easy, quick and cheap to produce.

Olly is clearly a key artist for them and the underperformance of Starstruck and the It’s A Sin link up with Elton obviously had them worried so they know they’ve hit the jackpot by slapping a picture of Kylie on the CD to inflate the sales

I wish BMG would get this memo! I do love the 7" vinyl releases, but it amazes me that they apparently don't see CD singles as worthwhile releases.

I am a little bit surprised that Kylie (or her team) is more proactive in mentioning/promoting Starstruck than Dancefloor Darling <_<

CDs I'd say are cheaper to produce but sell ar lower prices so vinyl prob makes more profit. I'd love a vinyl and cd bundle for the singles for my collection plus it would bump sales. Ya it's strange kylies team have put more into starstruck than DFD but maybe it's because they know starstruck can go top 40 or higher where DFD would struggle for top 100.

But there have been other remixes from artists where the new collaborator has been listed. That's why this omission is odd. Rather, why K said yes when she's not credited in what's probably her biggest chance of scoring a hit single in the current environment.

Not generally though, most of the time it's just the original artist credited.

She's still credited on all streaming and download sites which is better exposure than a credit on the official charts is.

27 in todays mids, it will probably miss out on top 30 but I was always expecting a top 35 for it this week which is still good.

The streaming of the remix has been very poor this week....

Downloads have been excellent to help the original which has itself had good downloads and streaming.

Does anybody know Starstruck's increase compared to last week? Maybe about 1,200 sales because of Kylie, that's it?!?

Approx 1,500 increase on the previous week without the Kylie remix.
