The old team left Tuesday, please God let these be more professional and better any way it's good news in that they know the social media hasn't been good enough and it needs to be better and up the number of followers too.

Interesting... Though that team has very little followers and their tweet about working with the Spice girls had NO likes or retweets or even comments, so lets hope they are better at raising other profiles, rather than their own :teresa:

 

And yeah, who was the other team?

It was part of Universal that was running it before.

I'd take it as a sign they are getting closer to announcing something themselves taking more control of the social media. In 2018/19 modest controlled the social media, then when they parted with them universal took over as it was better for them to keep it going than let it die especially with the vinyl releases.

 

Hiring an actual proper team to sort the social media is an investment when Universal would do it for free (but not very well).

Is their still something coming at the end of the week Sammy or has that been changed with the change of social media team ?

Soooo... a few tidbits of news:

 

- Mel C says

that the Spice 25 album has been remastered for the release and that the girls picked the CD2 tracklist (clearly! they always have the worst taste lol)

 

- Mel B was on the breakfast show this morning and said that Spice tour is in 2023 :huh: I wouldnt be surprised to be honest. If it really is a World Tour, they probably want to really wait until they can properly tour to places outside of the UK and USA which are still dealing with the health crisis in a good way with restrictions, not like Biden and Boris' insane idea that restrictions dont matter....)

I honestly have no idea. The new team evidently aren't in a rush to post anything.

 

Though I have no idea what entails to a social media hand over, I'm sure there is more to it than just handing over passwords, programmed posts and other stuff might need to be sorted as well.

Why would they release Spice outtakes on Spiceworld 25?

 

If the girls went through the archives and didn't find much worth releasing, then why didn't they release a rarities album with all the best stuff on it?

 

Releasing subpar anniversary editions are pointless. Unless the girls know they are just cash grabs and don't care if the track list is subpar.

Clearly. Miss Melanie 'b-sides are b-sides for a reason' C and her friends really stopped the release of other unreleased songs eh? Classique :rolleyes:

 

Let's hope they have a more open attitude for the Spice 50 celebrations :P

 

(or maybe that more unreleased stuff leakes... Im not hopeful at all that much more unreleased songs will be released at all, so I woudlnt mind a leak happening over the next couple of years... The last one was AGES AGO SO IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! :teresa: )

Feed Your Love, the various demos and the Love Thing remix are all unrelased songs.

As is the spoken word goodbye last track. Again it's not their fault things have leaked over the years.

To be fair, she did say 'demos and unreleased songs'. The various demos are of released songs, just like the remixes.

 

And lets not start on the spoken word track lol thats clearly not a song. But anyway, it is what it is :unsure:

It's unreleased though, Spice Invaders isn't a song but we lapped it up back in the day.

I'll admit that I'm disappointed that we aren't getting Likely Stories since it seems like the other one (besides Feed Your Love) from the Spice sessions that was almost finished and included on the album, but didn't make the cut (probably because of the whole C U Next Tuesday thing).

Some of you think the girls are giving us a ton of new demos and songs. They're not. I can't stop laughing at you guys counting a 53 seconds "goodbye" message from the girls.

Dismissing unreleased demos because they've leaked is ridiculous, as is dismissing a goodbye message you've never heard.

 

If that is your view don't ever listen to leaks and you won't have things spoiled.

 

I'm actually most interested in the goodbye message as I am really intrigued if it was originally meant to be track 11 on Spice and if it's called part 2 because there is a part 1 called hello that was meant to introduce Spice. That might have changed Spice a lot.
