Just listened to this this morning, I think the new version of Say You'll Be There is great (love the extra guitar oomph), 2 Become 1 is pretty good (if a touch too bassy), but Wannabe just felt a bit lacking in personality compared to the original, I think the girls' voices, personality and attitude is what really made this song, so to make the backing track more prominent than the vocals doesn't work that well for me. They sound a bit washed out under the production.

Tampering with established classics and nostalgia I guess is always going to be a fine art, sometimes it works and sometimes it just feels off. Very interesting to hear it though.

I bought the £30 CD of this in the end, great to see it heading for top five!

People talking about this new versions. Where can I find them?????

On Apple Music only, the album has basically been remixed to play with Apple’s new Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio sound function. The changes are very subtle for the most part but noticeable.

oh ok...

Too bad its only available on Apple Music.

Nice to see it charting in several countries, really hope we can add the Billboard 200 to that when it's revealed.
74 the Netherlands

Quite shocked it entered the charts over here :o Especially considering the fact the vinyls haven't been shipped yet.

#5 UK, 7.798 copies sold :)

Woo :w00t: Fantastic result for them!

Me too!

It's interesting Spice 25 sold 533 more copies in its opening week than Melanie C's self titled album last year. That album sold 7,265 copies in its first week.

It's basically the main UK hardcore fanbase isnt it? Somewhere between 5-6k of us and that's it :P it has been for years...
I’m happy with the result, top 5 in 2021 is great !
Excellent result for a re-realese for fans only and with an almost zero promotion if not on social networks
So nice to see it charting in so many countries. When you think it's had no radio play like a new album would or TV promo it's done so well.

No it had a TV advert, TV promo would be the artist on TV singing/promoting it.

I'm sensing some bitterness from 2 Melanie C fans.

Spice Girls @ The BBC was the best TV promo they could possibly get, not to mention the Channel 4 documentary.

Someone needs to tell Adele and Ed Sheeran they are wasting their time doing an ITV special filled with new performances, the MTV awards, BBC breakfast, radio interviews and so on. They could just stay at home and have a documentary or a show of old performances because it's the best promo they could get.

Spice 25 outsold Melanie C without the girls once being on radio or TV in the UK to promote it, without signing everything until their wrist hurt, without radio 2 play listing, without bundling a cd with a gig ticket. I know that must kill 2 of you but get over it.

Someone needs to tell you that both Ed & Adele are releasing a brand new studio album. As far as reissues go, Spice 25 got a lot of TV promo. That's a fact.

The fact that you get over defensive about it speaks volumes. Didn't you predict over 9,000 copies first week? You did. It didn't do amazing. It did just OK, so don't try to portray it as a huge success.
