The US doesn't have a CD chart, it's a sales chart so it's all physicals and download sales combined, basically paid for albums.

I'm not sure if Mexico or Brazil charts are out or they even have official charts.

Apparently the CD is being released in Brazil on the 26th of this month, so it probably hasnt been released there at all yet?...

Sadly I don't think Spice will survive a second consecutive week in the Top 200... it was midweek #184 yesterday.
I'm not surprised, the girls except a little mel c sponsored practically nothing, we made a top 5 with only the fan base by the way only with fans in the UK, more could not be done

Considering how the music industry has changed is a great result. Of course, we always expect more from them, but I also realized that this was going to sell more than that. At first I was expecting something like 10-15k. Abba new album sold 209k copies in a week - incredible.

ABBA 2nd week is also looking at decreasing 80%. Album sales are just terrible, we can marvel at ABBA but in truth had they done a new album 5 years ago I'm sure they would have been looking at 400k not 200k and much more stable sales.
In terms of the market itself right now Abba have done great, this week the full top 10 will all be in double figures and possibly the top 12 which doesn't happen much these days so its good. This wouldn't have been a good week for the spice girls to release so thankfully they released when they did and got back in the top 5.

Do we have a rough idea of how much the 25 editions ended up selling so far over the last month + half? I know it all nose dived after the first week, but could we realistic say 10,000 copies in the UK at least?

ANYWAY... I was working in both Leeds and Brighton, two iconic Spice-related cities, and couldnt resist going into HMV in both towns and ended up completing my collection :P

Initially I had bought the Baby bundle, plus the 2CD and the Scary vinyl, but when I saw it all on sale live in front of me, I couldnt resist getting the Zoetrope vinyl and the Ginger, Posh and Sporty vinyls too...

AND THEN..... Guess what???..... I ended up getting the rest of the cassettes too from their website cos then my OCD kicked in and I just HAD TO complete my collection since the only thing missing was the 4 cassettes...

And now I have the whole collection and I am poor but at least my SPICEOCD is a bit more manageable so...

(and yes, I will cry when the bloody zoetrope vinyl and the CD are discounted in the post-Christmas sales, but I will deal with that when I get there... please no questions at this time....)

It's where the (stunning) music video for 'Let There Be Love' was filmed.

It was where they went to record with Biff, where Mel C got the inspiration for The Sea and yeah, that iconic photoshoot!! :teresa:

Not sure how long this has been the case, but the Spice 25 cassettes are half price! £4.99 each. https://store.thespicegirls.com/

They must have a lot of stock left. I wanted to try and see how many, but by the time I'd added 350 Victoria cassettes to my basket, I got bored :kink:
