black midi still holding at #8 - hopefully they can still manage to hang onto the top 10 (they might yet overtake Bowie if they're close enough behind?)

I don't think I know a single song by Del Amitri so them coming for a top 5 album feels a little out of nowhere oops (I do vaguely recognise their name but I see this is the first new album from them in almost two decades so their previous activity long predates me being aware of music x)

See their first appearance on TOTP on 26/1/1990 in my thread. ‘Nothing Ever Happens’ is well known

love Del Amitri, Nothing Ever Happens and Always the Last to Know are classics!

Bizarrely they had a top 10 in the US with Roll to Me, never ever understood why though :D

their GH Hatful of Rain is a good start if anyone wants to check them out

Roll To Me seemed a bit of a pop/rock pastiche, I can see why it did well in the States though. All the other Del Amitri songs mentioned in this thread are great.

The last time Marea was in the Monday mids, it had dropped out by the Wednesday and finished the week at #43 - so hopefully it'll hold on this time.

Anyone here old enough to remember Moby in around 2000? Play was a huge album.

He's re-worked some tracks for the new album. Natural Blues has vocals by Gregory Porter and sounds great.

RTM was a proper summer anthem of theirs. I remember being hooked on that song back in 1995. I wouldn’t have thought it only went top 30

Play was packed with great tracks. Sadly, he hasn't come close to matching that album.

Echoing the love for 'Nothing Ever Happens' Del Amitri were never that big but that song is a bonafide classic and 'Roll To Me' and a handful of others are pretty decent too.

It is kinda surreal to see them getting a top 5 album 31 years after 'Nothing Ever Happens' but they have been away for the best part of 20 years so I imagine this is a highly anticipated release.

Do we think Body is going to ACR? It’s only down by 200 in this week’s Wednesday update vs last week’s, but we don’t know how the missing data compares.

If so it could become the first song to be Top 10 on ACR for a while.

I would be very surprised if it managed to avoid acr as it seems to be declining on Spotify after reaching its peak but you never know. If it does hit acr then there is a high chance it could stay top 10.
could really go either way for Body, its currently registering a tiny decline. good weather may well be enough to give it a boost overall for the week.
