Chelsea are 13 points behind now after losing today. They're just a more glorified version of us from last season, they're even further behind at this stage of the season than we were. Of course it's "the top 3 and then the rest" though......

Chelsea and Liverpool can match City, like everyone else has already said, City got lucky and their drop off in squad is not as vast as the other two teams. City are better this season that last season, let's not forget they were dreadful until they got a 2 week break from covid in December 2020..

Evidently they can't match City otherwise they wouldn't be 13 points behind in mid January  , let's not forget that Chelsea were the leaders in the early part of the season as well.

^^Good work from myself there praising United before they got the three points!

Gonna be hilarious watching Ronaldo in the Europa Conference next season!

Despite what is going on now I wouldn't be so sure we'll end up in the Europa Conference League. I've not seen the match but it's a bad result obviously.

Where you going to finish, 8th?

(I also don't think a point away at Villa is a bad result in isolation, but this fixture run Man Utd have, they really need to be winning the home games to have a shot of Champions League)

Champions League race is wide open, not a single team other than City can string a run of results together.

Rafael Benitez has been sacked as Everton manager after fewer than seven months in charge.
If they have any sense they will do everything to get Graham Potter. And actually build a team around him and invest.
Peter will be happy Leeds superb today, unlucky there tho!

Both Chelsea and Liverpool are capable of stringing results together, we were on a good run up until the Spurs game. I think that 4th spot is wide open, but can't not see Chelsea and Liverpool qualifying. The games against each other for Spurs, Utd, West Ham and Arsenal will be the crucail ones.

Wayne Rooney at Everton would be hilarious. Not that I think he would be a bad appointment, but they go round in circles with their managerial appointments.

He’s done brilliantly at Derby with the things that have went on there!

He's done really well, but they have tried young and inexperienced managers before (and sacked them), then went for older heads (and they jumped ship/sacked them). Rooney feels inevitable at this stage.

Will we get managers now complaining about having to fit games in like Moyes did after today ?
