June 18, 20215 yr Author Only six new additions and three climbers is really f'ing poor. I'm guessing they're done now with The Vaccines and possibly even Jake Bugg :( That Jaden Thompson song that wasn't shown on the playlist last week, looks like it was on the B-list rather than C-list as it's not listed as a climber. Once again only 11 songs on the C-list though, I wonder if that's just the new thing going forward. I really like that L Devine song so I'm glad to see that playlisted at least :)
June 18, 20215 yr Great to see Lorde on the A-List and Prospa added to C-List too - a banger as per usual
June 18, 20215 yr Author Also, just realised that in a run stretching back to the 26th Feb, this is now the 17th week in a row that there's been a new addition to either the A-list or B-list (or both!)
June 18, 20215 yr Also, just realised that in a run stretching back to the 26th Feb, this is now the 17th week in a row that there's been a new addition to either the A-list or B-list (or both!) And I can’t imagine that run will stop for at least the next couple of weeks with Ed Sheeran etc releasing. Really surprised that the new Dua hasn’t been playlisted yet, also thought RAYE, ENNY and MK might have all been added by now. Really bad week for movement though, although happy to see Our Song on the A List now. Hopefully they don’t go down to 11 songs on the C list permanently, I think last summer they may have dropped to 11 songs too so maybe it’s just something they do over the summer when there’s less new music around? Although they could easily fill 12 spaces at the moment.
June 18, 20215 yr Author ^ Yeah I was wondering about 'Love Again'. I really hope they are going to playlist it, I'll be massively pissed off if they treat it like it's not a proper single like they did with 'Treat Me With Kindness'.
June 18, 20215 yr It’s the norm now to add songs/artists higher up with the way songs are released now like it used to be in the pre held back release days. I’m still confident Jake will get three weeks on the C-List before the album is released.
June 18, 20215 yr ^ Yeah I was wondering about 'Love Again'. I really hope they are going to playlist it, I'll be massively pissed off if they treat it like it's not a proper single like they did with 'Treat Me With Kindness'. Hopefully it's added next week! With Capital playlisting it and Radio 1 being one of Dua's biggest supporters, I doubt they would snub it. Maybe it's just having a slower rollout due to Levitating still slaying
June 18, 20215 yr Happy with the Lorde, Mabel, L Devine and Prospa adds, although I agree that they could have added a couple more. Enny, MK, Nothing But Thieves, Willow Smith (yes - she gets daily spins on the evening shows so there's every chance she'll make the daytime playlist) and Yonaka could all make it soon. I also think it's only a matter of time before they add Maneskin - they even played Slave on Jack Saunders' indie show last night! It would be nice to see Sigrid, Griff and Self Esteem move up. June 18, 20215 yr I also think it's only a matter of time before they add Maneskin - they even played Slave on Jack Saunders' indie show last night! So they did :o I see they have a more high-effort radio edit now as well - there are still a couple of mutes but swaps too like "freaking", "really", "love" etc  ~ c'mon R1 you know you want to *.* "Yeah we're playing Måneskin, yeah they won Eurovision and yes they rock hard"
June 18, 20215 yr shocked to see Confetti still on there but def not complaining at Little Mix having 2 A-list entries
