Impending 6th album following the success of 'IGOR'!

He dropped 'LUMBERJACK' yesterday but only half of the song is featured in the music video:

Here's the full thing (still only 2:19 lol):

It slaps, looking forward to the whole album!

He's done it again!! Definitely a switch-up from 'IGOR' but an effective one. Early on the beat-drop in 'CORSO' was everything and then the rest just did not let up. My top favourites aside from that and 'LUMBERJACK' were 'LEMONHEAD', 'MASSA', 'MANIFESTO', 'RISE!' and 'JUGGERNAUT' <3

This, BROCKHAMPTON and Genesis Owusu are providing me with so much noughties-inspired-sounding hip-hop goodness so far this year

Yeah I absolutely loved this album. IGOR was a masterpiece and while I don’t think this can quite match that album, there’s still plenty of great tracks here.

The start of the album got me so hyped and the album picked up lots at the end as well but I think it lost its way in the middle a bit. I enjoyed all the features, Pharrell was surprisingly good.

I’ll have to give it a couple more listens before deciding on my highlights but Wilshire was certainly a trip.

After another listen, my standouts are WUSYANAME, HOT WIND BLOWS, RISE!, RUNITUP & WILSHIRE

Day 1 Spotify:

13. WUSYANAME (with YoungBoy Never Broke Again & Ty Dolla $ign)

18. SIR BAUDELAIRE (with DJ Drama)

20. CORSO

21. LUMBERJACK

22. LEMONHEAD (with 42 Dugg)

25. HOT WIND BLOWS (with Lil Wayne)

27. JUGGERNAUT (with Lil Uzi Vert & Pharrell Williams)

30. MASSA

33. SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE (with Brent Faiyaz & Fana Hues)

37. RUNITUP (with Teezo Touchdown)

44. MANIFESTO (with Domo Genesis)

61. RISE! (with DAISY WORLD

62. WILSHIRE

71. MOMMA TALK

73. SAFARI

75. BLESSED

I really liked Tyler's last song with Brent Faiyaz ('Gravity') so I was really excited to hear SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE, and it's definitely one of my favourite moments from the album! WILSHIRE, RISE and WUSYANAME are great too.

Day 1 Spotify:

98. MANIFESTO (with Domo Genesis)

125. WILSHIRE

139. RISE! (with DAISY WORLD

Can’t stop listening to this. Incredible.

I’d post my favourites but it’s basically the whole thing by this point 🥲

SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE and WILSHIRE though!!

With these last couple of albums (and Flower Boy too actually) he’s really reminded me of Kanye at his peak – creating such polished bodies of work and getting the best from all the featured artists. They all contribute so well to each track/the album in general. Probably a lazy comparison haha but it’s like that for me anyway.

A very different album to 'IGOR' but I think it's nearly as good - my only complaint really is that the 2 (by far) longest songs on the album are both among the weaker songs on the album for me  kind of similar to what I thought of black midi's album (although this is definitely a way better album than that overall as it has more than enough great short tracks to make up for it). 'WILSHIRE' is great lyrically and works well enough as part of the album but it is a little too monotone to really want to go back to it as a song in its own right, while 'SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE' is solid and probably will grow on me but it feels a little out of place on an otherwise very rap-focused album so it feels a bit strange that it's such a centrepiece track on the album, would have fit better on 'IGOR' I think. Also kind of wish it had more of Brent Faiyaz on it, I was excited for his feature as I love his voice and he and Tyler have proven chemistry from 'Gravity' but he felt pretty underutilised on the song!

Those little gripes aside this is absolutely packed with bangers - 'LUMBERJACK' was a fantastic choice of lead single, probably still my favourite song on the album (that 'Rolls Royce pull up, black boy hop out' hook has been stuck in my head all day today) and my other biggest immediate highlights are 'CORSO', 'MANIFESTO' and 'MASSA', like Cremey I could list close to every other song that I didn't mention as a favourite to some extent as well but those three are a cut above on first listen. Also shouting out the Lil Wayne feature on 'HOT WIND BLOWS' which was easily my favourite of the features on the album, 42 Dugg on 'LEMONHEAD' was solid too (still feels very weird seeing him and Tyler on the same song as they feel like they're from extremely different worlds but it worked well!)

"Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale" is out now!!! It has been nearly 2 years since this record was dropped but we will always appreciate new material from Tyler! "DOGTOOTH" dropped on Monday and is sounding excellent. It has also impacted global spotify really well too showing that there is real demand for new material, even if its leftovers.

Tracklist (Additional Tracks):

1) EVERYTHING MUST GO

2) STUNTMAN (feat. Vince Staples)

3) WHAT A DAY

4) WHARF TALK (feat. A$AP Rocky)

5) DOGTOOTH

6) HEAVEN TO ME

7) BOYFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND (2020 DEMO) (feat. YG)

8) SORRY NOT SORRY

Dogtooth is my favourite of the new tracks but they're all great.

What A Day and Heaven To Me would be the others in my top 3.

DOGTOOTH debuted at #39 on the UK charts to become Tyler's 4th top 40 entry in the UK! SORRY NOT SORRY also debuted at #63. New videos out for HEAVEN TO ME and HOT WIND BLOWS.
