September 3, 20213 yr Great to see Seventeen holding on in the Top 75 this week (44-62-70-60-61-57-57-60). Also his debut album is back up to #53 - the Leeds, Reading shows etc., are leading to more people discovering his music.
September 7, 20213 yr ‘Get You Down’ is fantastic - will do equally as good as ‘17 Going Under’ has - this is going to be the album of the year judging by what we have heard so far. The b-side to the new single is called ‘The Kitchen’ - another amazing track that easily could be a single or album track, the fact it’s ended up as a b-side shows the quality Sam is producing at the moment. September 7, 20213 yr Not him committing the cardinal sin on BuzzJack of releasing a song with the word 'kitchen' in the title.
September 8, 20213 yr Not him committing the cardinal sin on BuzzJack of releasing a song with the word 'kitchen' in the title. Was confused why it would not accept the word when I posted it!
September 8, 20213 yr And they certainly don't disappoint! I particularly appreciate the brass sounds in 'The K!tchen' Though while I get why they're both released, it is a bit annoying to see the single's streams will be split again across two versions!
September 8, 20213 yr And they certainly don't disappoint! I particularly appreciate the brass sounds in 'The K!tchen' Though while I get why they're both released, it is a bit annoying to see the single's streams will be split again across two versions! I hate the fact that it’s split across 2 versions for chart purposes - Seventeen Going Under would have entered at #49 on Spotify if the streams were not split.
September 8, 20213 yr 'Get You Down' is much stronger than 'Seventeen Going Under' for me! I liked the latter but never went back to it. But I'm LOVING the Noah & The Whale style strings in the last half of the song!!
September 10, 20213 yr The new one hasn’t hit me much yet after like 2 listens but the first single was a 6 week number one on my chart!
September 10, 20213 yr Decent placement on two big Spotify playlists - New Music Friday #4 The Rock List #7
September 11, 20213 yr Prob needs to be on the hits playlist to be top 40 though!? Yeah, I don’t think it will be troubling the charts to be honest - streaming is behind what ‘17 Going Under’ achieved, love this track though and as the album is out in 4 weeks hopefully this is the one he will be performing to promote the album.
September 11, 20213 yr His debut album sold 40.9k in the first week, so I'm sure he'll absolutely break 15k
