October 8, 20213 yr What an album! Standouts so far are The Dying Light, Paradigms, The Last To Make It Home & Angel In Lothian.
October 8, 20213 yr I like the album but I feel 'Hypersonic Missiles' is a lot more accessible and much more instant. The singles, 'Last To Make It Home', 'The Leveller' and 'The Dying Light' are my favourites so far. Not a single track I dislike, but a couple of filler on there (and that's OK) but now my expectations have been reviewed, I can properly start delving into this more and listening to it with a lot less hype etc.. I feel my hype for this was too high  But we'll see how much it grows, I think it will. A solid effort, the highs don't match the highs of 'Hypersonic Missiles' for me but this is a very good follow up. 'The Dying Light' is STUNNING. So euphoric and beautiful. Very The Killers!
October 8, 20213 yr Deluxe/Extended version That’s the one I added from Apple Music too, hard to find the other one on there lol
October 8, 20213 yr Only had a quick listen but ‘Angel In Lothian’, ‘The Dying Light’ and ‘Getting Started’ are my standouts. I’m surprised ‘Getting Started’ hasn’t been a single yet actually as it sounds perfect for radio and very instant.
October 8, 20213 yr After 12 weeks in the Top 75 ‘Seventeen Going Under’ has dropped out of the Top 100, the 7” vinyl is out this week so hopefully it will return. ‘Spit Of You’ has entered at #89, and he has another 7” vinyl out this week for ‘Long Way Off’ so hopefully something will come through and he’ll finally get a Top 40 single.
October 8, 20213 yr His BBC breakfast promo has done him marketing wonders!! Apple Music: 26. Get You Down 37. Seventeen Going Under 39. Spit Of You 42. Get You Down 61. Getting Started 96. Long Way O
October 9, 20213 yr Very good album indeed, I gave it a listen yesterday and was very impressed, His lyrics are very good, especially in the title track Sometimes he sounds so much like The Killers that for a second I thought I was listening to them ;)
October 9, 20213 yr Predictions for week 1? The last update I saw was 20k in pre-orders but that was before the tour was announced with a pre-sale code if you pre-ordered the album which essentially made everything on the website go out of stock  Current Charts - Apple Music #1 Amazon (Overall Charts) #2, #4, #11, #39 iTunes #1, #2, #26, #142 Amazon Download #2, #4 Also looks like his debut album is in for a big chart boost this week too. October 15, 20213 yr as usual, Pitchfork giving a mediocre review to a UK singer-songwriter... https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/sam-fe...en-going-under/
October 15, 20213 yr Due to the reaction ‘Spit Of You’ is being pushed as the next single rather than ‘Long Way Off’
October 15, 20213 yr as usual, Pitchfork giving a mediocre review to a UK singer-songwriter... https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/sam-fe...en-going-under/ Don’t worry Petridis on the Guardian gave him 5/5!
October 15, 20213 yr Could be a second top 40 hit next week as ‘Spit Of You’ is up to 23 on Apple today!
