Not sure how I feel about this yet It's lowkey a bop but it's just so different to what I was expecting

What the f*** is this song and video combination?

For someone who screamed 'next big thing' back during Havana/Never Be The Same it's an absolute shambles that she's ended up releasing this crap only a few years later. I actually can't believe the drop in visuals, song quality and general buzz around her and this release right now.

Why are all her music videos the same? I swear she's done this 'movie' filter and setting with about three other music videos so far. Why is her styling so terrible in every scene? Why is the song so bad?

Jeez. What a waste. I remember seeing her sing NBTS on Jimmy Fallon the same week she hit number 1 with her single and album and everyone was genuinely convinced she'd be a superstar. I'm embarrassed for her.

I think people are doing a bit much over this to be honest, like it sounds…. Fine?

in the us it's #248 on apple music, i dread to think it's spotify debut.

I feel like for a comeback song this is just not it, sis needs to make this a crying in the club.

She probably insisted on this being the lead single knowing her bad her taste in her own music seems to be.

I don't hate it? Not what I expected but nowhere near the worst song in the world. Y'all are so dramatic.
Sounds likea bad J Lo flop to be honest
Watch 5H reunite without Normani at this rate

Oh because she's smashing to hard. Yes she's a goddess but hardly delivering to the standard we had hoped.

Yes this is very mono-dimensional of her tbh, especially coming one week after Normani served the visuals.

I think this is basically a Gloria Estefan pastiche.

I was really surprised to see Radio 1 playlist it instantly, but good on her.

But yeah, like someone touched upon in this thread I thought in 2018 she was in a good position to dominate globally as a main player in the pop business but she didn't manage to make that progression and it all fell apart pretty spectacularly.

If only she'd seen the potential in 'She Loves Control' and made something of it.

(and not posted racist stuff online as a teenager)

So, this has grown on me a lot after initially being underwhelmed.

The chorus is fantastic, the verses are still pretty awful though.. and I’ll be honest - I don’t get the hate for the video, the cheesiness makes me smile .. and I love the styling

I think probably the main reason I like it, is because she’s tried to comeback with what she thinks is her signature sound.. and it’s not what I expected from this era.. I honestly thought she’d chase the treads and release something that was pop/RnB ..

agree its very Gloria Estefan and in a way it sounds pretty dated

Havanna and Señorita had Spanish-elements too but didn't sound so dated, this sounds very 1992

the video is your typical Camila video, they're all pretty much in the same vein

My first thought watching this was... "oh, so she's ditching pop and going all in to become a Latin pop star"

This to me feels very niche for an artist of her fame/budget level.

Oh because she's smashing to hard. Yes she's a goddess but hardly delivering to the standard we had hoped.
Normani is doing R&B which is quite a hard lane to smash in but she’s doing a good job and making movements. I don’t see 5H reuniting anytime soon if ever in all honesty .

Okay this has grown on me alot.

I still want her to smash and be a pop star not be a niche Latina artist though.
