Yeah I was gonna say, they haven't playlisted her for at least 15 years, why would they start doing so again now?

A 'Big Hoops' redemption arc wasn't on my 2021 bingo card but there we go *.*

 

I don't remember 'Big Hoops' from the time actually! This Rain Radio track though is so different to the style of dance we usually get in the charts these days which makes it really refreshing - it reminds me a bit of 90s eurodance actually with the synths in the chorus and high pitched vocals!

 

Elsewhere on the playlist I was surprised Jonasu - Black Magic hadn't been added yet but then it was posted on here that it is Scott Mills' track of the week.

I think radio 1 like a lot of us are bored of the faceless dance music in the charts these days but no doubt it’ll do a Noiszu or Navos or maybe I’m just an old fart and most dance music sounds the same these days because I’ve been around long enough to hear it being recycled 1000 times!

Big Hoops was on heavy rotation on my IPod back in 2012! :lol: It's relative underperformance was disappointing. Not 100% sure how to feel about the Rain Radio track yet.
