Don’t see how she ruins it personally her verse isn’t even that long  I think Cardi’s verse is fine it don’t take anything away from the song or video . Cardi being on it in general is smart cause it will bring more eyes , attention and hype to the song which was needed with her being away for pretty much 2 years .

This is great but I definitely wish there was a Cardi B-less version. I think it works more as a sultry, chilld, laid-back number as opposed to a "let me blow it like a trumpet

I can do it all, I can probably suck a watermelon through a straw" type of number. Sometimes less is more.

I like it and added it to my playlist but I felt like 'Motivation' was way more an actual moment and seemed more true to who Normani is and what sort of artist she should be.

This is a bit TOO laid back and I can't really see it being a hit.

100% agree

Would've loved to see what another female rapper could do on this track. Doja or Saweetie <3

I'm going against the grain here and saying that Cardi B's bit is the highlight of the song. The video is brilliant and it samples one of Aaliyah's best songs, but without Cardi B I think the song would be totally forgettable. I'm enjoying it but I think it's a step down from "Motivation" and I was hoping for better. However, I'm sure it will grow on me a lot more!

I love this and haven’t taken it off repeat both the song and video are so good . I actually think Cardi fits the song really well . The song is about being wild and freaky and there’s probably no better person besides maybe Megan that would have fitted the subject .

She’s actually said in interviews this is more true to her and that she didn’t originally want to release Motivation .

#14 is a fantastic debut, especially after Motivation's peak! Well done Normani.
Gonna echo the general consensus that the Cardi part on this wasn't really necessary / doesn't fit that well but I don't think it completely ruins it, the rest of the song is surprisingly excellent (saying this as someone who was never much of a fan of 'Motivation' and is pretty ambivalent towards the current predominant female R&B sound in general, though it does have its gems like SZA's 'Good Days' and this can count itself as another one of those, not quite as good as 'Good Days' but what is x) so I guess it's good that Cardi has brought a bit more attention to it, in the US at least.

Her , Chloe and Lil Nas X were definitely the stand outs of the night performance wise imo
