September 3, 20213 yr I think I'm the only Charli fan in the world who's not *that* into her more experimental pop stuff (i.e. Most of the stuff since Sucker, some of the stuff on True Romance too... Some notable highlights though, and most I can either appreciate or enjoy! ) The good ones are the trashy bangers., I'm a sucker for them (puns VERY intended). Break the Rules is probably my most played Charli song 😂🙈 I'm hooked on this. God there's been too many good stuff out in the last 12 hours... I'm the same. Give me things like this, Break The Rules, Sucker, Nuclear Seasons etc over all that "hyperpop" stuff and bilge like 'After The Afterparty'.
September 3, 20213 yr Trashy bangers are the absolute mainstay of pop music and the fact that pop has spent the last few years missing a clear master at them cos she was experimenting is a tragedy.
September 4, 20213 yr I'm less keen on her experimental stuff too (call me basic but 1999 and Blame It On Your Love were easily my faves from the Charli album lol) so this is exactly what I wanted from her, it's absolutely wonderful
September 8, 20213 yr This is like a perfect combination of Lady Gaga, Eurythmics and Michael Jackson for me.
October 5, 20213 yr This song should single-handedly be bringing back pop music, it’s just *that* good Edited October 5, 20213 yr by ClaudiaKinkleman
October 21, 2024Oct 21 Margaret Qualley has confirmed that her iconic pose for the ‘Pump It Up’ Billboard in ‘The Substance’ was inspired by Charli xcx’s ‘Good Ones’ cover. @1848230401212285290
