The longest running No 1 EVER but it misses the top 100 in this rate. It did get 6 voters though- a new rate record

Who bought this on the strength of the speeded up part only to be disappointed?

We prefer this side but only just- who remembers the routine?

Spaceman is great! I still love it all, in fact I quite like a few of his other songs as well.
Spaceman's production is amazing but the lyrics scare me.

NO 110- 45 POINTS

Doctor Jones Aqua (Voter: Last Dreamer- 19 points, Leonardo- 26 points)- #1 for 2 weeks in February 1998

Second Aqua No 1 and their second to leave the rate!

Three great late 90s tunes there! Bring It All Back very nearly made my votes and if only they could make charity records like Perfect Day now.

Perfect Day is very good indeed, especially compared to some of the charity records that came later like the X-F ones...

Perfect Day was decent for a charity ensemble, but I'd never listen to it over the original.

Spaceman must've been close to my votes, I'm amused at the reaction to it at the time. I think the whole song works really well.

and there is actually a version where it all sounds like the opening bit. and it isn’t as good as the better known version.

Sorry to say im part of the people that thought the music in the ad was genius

But the proper single sucked

I’m not a big fan of ‘Bring It All Back’ in terms of the type of music but you can’t say it’s not a classic 20 years later, gets played at weddings and all these days!
I could have voted for Perfect Day. Honestly I prefer that 1997 version to Lou Reed's.

Famously falling foul of Mr Blobby in the race for the Christmas No 1 so some revenge gained here.

No Matter What Boyzone (Voter: Rabbitfurcoat- 2 points, Julian T- 5 points, Hide&Seek- 9 points, DarrenJ77- 2 points, Leonardo- 12 points, Gezza- 19 points)- # 1 for 3 weeks in August 1998

Boyzone’s most popular No 1 on Buzzjack but they all miss the top 100. Also the first loss for Rabbitfurcoat.

Sweet Like Chocolate Shanks & Bigfoot (Voter: Jade- 17 points, AH Gold- 14 points, Dan::G- 11 points, Jester- 7 points)- #1 for 2 weeks in May/June 1999

First garage No 1

Bryan, Perfect Day (it's even better than the original), Babylon Zoo and D:Ream are all goodies - the rest of this batch (sorry voters!) it's fair they fall short of a Top 100 of the 90's. I had no idea Bring It All back is an anthem at weddings (don't go to weddings for folk of that vintage) but I can vouch for Reach being an anthem in the bars I frequent, and Bring It All Back never getting played. I literally haven't heard it since it was a hit, yet I've heard the fab S Club Party quite a lot. :o

Things Can Only Get Better (and U R the Best Thing) still put a smile on my face.

I contend that the Spice Girls did not have 8 No 1s that were better than No Matter What, but I guess that’s the Buzzjack skew.

D-Ream should be top 100, symbolises the mid 90s as Labour were about to gain power!

As if Sweet Like Chocolate missed the top 100!

I just realised Kylie's dreadful Tears On My Pillow is yet to come. GOOD GRIEF.
