August 13, 20215 yr 10 years since Nero - 'Promises' still amazed the song actually made it to #1, even on such a quiet week. such a shame it is statistically speaking one of the least deserving #1s ever though, it didn't deserve the ridiculously short chart run it had. at least the song itself is fondly remembered still - by far their biggest streaming hit too.

August 13, 20215 yr  Missed the top 40 this week? Jorja Smith and GuiltyBeatz All Of This 1st single from forthcoming studio album Released: 6th August 2021 Label: FAMM Video pzGIAhqlblM Biography Jorja Smith Blending classical vocal artistry with beats inspired by modern R&B, reggae and hip-hop, Jorja Smith has risen to become one of Britain’s most exciting soul singers since her debut single, the searching, Dizzee Rascal-sampling “Blue Lights”, came out in 2016. Born in Walsall in 1997, Smith began studying music at an early age while listening to reggae, dub and soul music on her own, and her YouTube covers of hits by Alex Clare and Tinie Tempah garnered her notice from industry bigwigs. Smith’s second single, the glossy “Where Did I Go?”, was praised by Drake that July; a few months later, she released her debut EP, Project 11, and was named to the BBC’s Sound of 2017 long list. Drake invited Smith to tour with her and appear on his project More Life in 2017, and later that year she collaborated with American urbano star Kali Uchis on “Tyrant” and toured the world with Bruno Mars. Smith kicked off her 2018 with the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award, and soon after, she put out her debut full-length, Lost & Found, which showcased her defiantly honest songwriting, effortless genre-mixing and supple voice on tracks like the soulful “Wandering Romance” and the downtempo “On Your Own”. - Apple Music GuiltyBeatz Ghanian super-producer and artist GuiltyBeatz is undeniably one of the fastest rising DJ/producers from Africa. August 13, 20215 yr  Missed the top 40 this week? 220 KID and LANY Stupid Feelings Non-album single Released: 6th August 2021 Label: Polydor Records Video iVhba0hI5CE Biography 220 KID 220 KID is a producer/writer/DJ and artist from the UK. The 220 KID name was born after running 220 miles in bright pink pants for charity, after his beloved Godfather passed away. And after running that 220 miles he knew anything was possible. He was soon scouted as a model and has worked for the likes of Vogue, GQ, Nike, Reebok and many more, whilst continuing to develop and perfect himself as an established writer/producer. Over the past two years 220 KID has been working with Grammy nominated producer Grades, One Bit, Camden Cox, Billen Ted, Danny Shah, Jackson, and the infamous Scott Storch (Pink, Christina Aquilera, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Dre, Sean Paul) to name a few. His broad musical ability has allowed him to write and produce with a wide range of artists also, such as Clean Bandit, Alpines, Frenship, Walking On Cars, Sheppard, and Camelphat, He has most recently been working with Daniel Skye, Jess Boykins III, Amanda CY, Gracey, Maverick Sabre, Bryn Christopher and Ivy Adara. Unquestionably 220 KID has a wide range of production skills, from epic string work to dirty house base lines. Alongside his fresh style of lyrical writing, he has the ability to make any pop song that little bit more ‘cool’. He's certainly one to watch. - Spotify LANY “I write from personal experience,” Paul Jason Klein, lead vocalist of L.A.-based dreamy pop group LANY, tells Apple Music. “Some people are able to conceptualize or come up with storylines or things like that. But I just kinda write straight from the heart.” A quick listen to the band’s joyful 2015 single “ILYSB,” with its driving, tip-tapping drums and warm synths, reveals Klein’s predilection for that heavy heart-on-sleeve vibe. Formed in 2014 in Nashville, the band—filled out by fellow multi-instrumentalists Leslie Priest and Jake Goss—stitch together the dense synsthscapes of electronic pop with mesmerizing Top 40 melodies and frequent R&B flourishes, building a sound that pulls from ‘80s and ‘90s pop filtered through gauzy 21st-century production. Pronounced “lay-nee,” the name is an amalgamation of the Los Angeles and New York acronyms, reflecting their desire to take their songs coast-to-coast and everywhere in between. They’ve made good on it, heading out on the road with acts like Halsey and Ellie Goulding in the late 2010s, while growing their sound. They kicked off playing with slick romanticism on 2017’s LANY, moved to heartbroken synth-pop for 2018’s Malibu Nights, and served up their take on Americana with 2020’s mama’s boy and songs like the wistful “cowboy in LA.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 220 KID 2020 09 Don't Need Love (220 KID & GRACEY) -NAS- 2020 72 Too Many Nights (220 KID & JC Stewart) -NAS- 2021 01 Wellerman (Nathan Evans, 220 KID & Billen Ted) 2021 __ Stupid Feelings (220 KID & LANY) -NAS- 1 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 2 x Top 40 | 3 x Top 100 LANY 2019 83 Mean It (Lauv & LANY) 2021 __ Stupid Feelings (220 KID & LANY) 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 0 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Social Media 220 KID LANY http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

August 13, 20215 yr 40 | | 1st week Fredo Flowers And The Snow 3rd single from Independence Day Released: 6th August 2021 Label: Since 93 Chart Statistics NE (19/08/2021) | 40 Sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio TBA Sales TBA Audio Streaming TBA Video Streaming Video PEuKCd401iw Biography Hailing from West London's Mozart Estate, Marvin William Bailey lived the street life as part of the Harrow Road Boys -- before translating his struggle-led lifestyle to the mic under the alias of Fredo. Delivering his verses in a blunt, almost effortless style, the rapper produced radio anthems and underground classics in equal measure, finding his biggest success alongside Dave on the #1-charting "Funky Friday." Few debut singles have as much impact as Fredo's "They Ain't 100": marking not only Bailey's first single, but his first time on the mic, the 2016 track received millions of streams across the UK, swiftly landing an OVO Sound Radio co-sign from Canadian superstar Drake. The same year, he released two further singles - the swaggering "TrapSpot" and bassy "Pattern Gang" - before featuring on the remix to Kojo Funds and Abra Cadabra's "Dun Talkin" alongside Yxng Bane, Frisco, and JME. With a forthright, almost-spoken delivery, Fredo's narratives embraced the authentic experiences of the Harrow Road Boyz, capped off with the heavy, swaggering soundscapes of the mid-2010s trap scene. Soon, Fredo was building the foundations for his debut mixtape. In early 2017, the rapper dropped the brash "Get the Pot," while an appearance on the Fire in the Booth freestyle series cemented him as one of the city's hottest rising talents. The tape, titled Get Rich or Get Recalled, arrived in March that year: lacing the bravado of his work thus far with a smattering of conflicted street tales, Fredo's debut tape provided the high-stakes narratives and blunt-force braggadocio fans had come to expect from the West London talent. Sophomore tape Tables Turn arrived just a year later, taking a noticeably more radio-ready tone with traces of afroswing and a feature from Hackney's Not3s. Yet it was a quick pair of singles that soon turned Fredo from hot talent into national superstar: an appearance on Stay Flee Get Lizzy's "Ay Caramba" provided the rapper his first top-40 appearance, before Dave collaboration "Funky Friday" landed Fredo the coveted #1 spot in October 2018. A modern classic of the UK rap scene, the track saw both MCs trade slick, cocky bars over a minimal beat, marking both artists' first chart-topping appearance. Moving into 2019, Fredo used his newfound momentum to drop debut album Third Avenue, which painted a rounded picture of the MC and produced top-40 hits "All I Ever Wanted" (with Dave, #15) and "BMT" (#25). Another major success came just a few months later with MIST collaboration "So High," a bouncy, club-led banger that peaked at the #7 spot on the UK charts. After closing out the year with a show-stopping appearance on Daily Duppy, as well as charting singles "Netflix & Chill" (#13) and "I'm the One" (#39), the MC set to work on his sophomore album, Money Can't Buy Happiness. Previewed by anthems including "Scorpion" (#37), "Back to Basics" (#20), and third Dave collaboration "Money Talks" (#3), Fredo's second tape marked new directions for the stalwart MC - such as his UK drill debut - while continuing to deliver the weighty trap on which he built his name. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 63 Change -1- 2018 83 YRF (GRM Daily feat. August 13, 20215 yr 39 | 41 | 3rd week Camila Cabello Don't Go Yet 1st single from Familia Released: 23rd July 2021 Label: Epic Records Chart Statistics NE (05/08/2021) | 37-41-39 Sales: 10k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 26 Sales 72 Audio Streaming 30 Video Streaming Video iFPkd-7AcDM Biography In an interview with Apple Music about her 2018 debut Camila, Camila Cabello told a story about a conversation she had at a Grammy party. It was a guy—a famous guy, a celebrity. “A flirtationship,” she called it. But even as their chat warmed up, Cabello sensed the guy was still performing, like he was stuck in a loop he couldn’t turn off. It freaked her out a little, but it also reminded her that too much polish can ruin anything. “I feel like the human stuff, the twisted stuff, the little isms—that’s what makes people interesting,” she said. In a culture where relatability has to share space with professionalism and hustle, Cabello has become one of the most grounded, appealing artists in pop, the kind of singer whose real-life circumstances—a young Cuban American woman, a little OCD, hopelessly romantic—comes through in her music without ever seeming idiosyncratic or self-involved. The conversation at the party? She wrote a song about it called “In the Dark,” because that’s what Camila Cabello does. Born in Havana in 1997, Cabello sang with the reality-show group Fifth Harmony before starting a solo career around 2017. Her best tracks—“Havana,” “Crying in the Club,” “Sēnorita,” “She Loves Control”—merge the sound and feel of classic Latin pop (from Celia Cruz to Calle 13) with contemporary R&B and the singer-songwriter intimacy of Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. As much as Cabello is a product of her upbringing, she’s also a reflection of the merging of Latinx culture with the global mainstream—a sense of responsibility not lost on her, but not steering the ship either. And as big as she gets, she works to stay grounded. “The human part of life is what makes you happy,” she says. “Just, like, conversations with people. Even walking in the street and having a stranger smile at you—that’s what really makes you happy. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2016 42 I Know What You Did Last Summer (Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello) 2016 16 Bad Things (Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello) 2017 12 Crying In The Club -NAS- 2017 15 Know No Better (Major Lazer feat.
