They haven’t been very strong with YouTube views since Woman Like Me (Sweet Melody also did well overall)

The days of bigger views for them seems over. Syco obvs did something right back then as their videos at least reached a respectful 100 millions views each.

The Director wrote this caption about the video:

LOVE (SWEET LOVE) by the effortlessly iconic @littlemix

It was an honour to collaborate with the girls for a third time to launch their new era of music <3

The concept was inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite art movement and the lesser known Sisterhood that romanticised nature and emboldened women through painting.

I wanted to celebrate Little Mix as the regal queens they are; unimpressed by a cohort of Knights that vie for their attention.

The song itself is a celebration of self love and female empowerment and nothing is more admirable than 2 mothers to be slaying a performance.

@leighannepinnock @jadethirlwall and @perrieredwards are nothing short of inspirational.

I think YouTube views overall aren’t as big as they once were

Agreed. I think it’s my least favourite Little Mix single (well after Cannonball).

I don’t know what you’re hearing but this song is a banger. So much better than many of their singles.

I know it's a busy week but I expected this to do so much better.

The song is… fine, but it’s a decent album track at best. Not single material at all.

Jesy must be a fortune teller then, because she “jumped ship” before the girls even knew they were pregnant.

She would have known they were trying.

It's not like Perrie and Leigh BOTH had accidents and just decided to keep them. They are of an age to want to start having kids.

I'm not apportioning blame or judgement, it's just a business decision. The music industry is rough on women over a certain age as well. It was now or never.

Even if she knew, that's definitely not part of why she left. Unless they're all lying, Jade said she was very surprised when she found out - she thought they were both joking. I mean, 2 of the members getting pregnant at same time?!

In one of the zoom interviews they had late spring/beginning of summer last year, Jesy said she thought they would go on a hiatus at some point, but would always come back together. So if she knew they were getting pregnant, and thought it would affect them commercially, she didn't necessarily need to leave. The "hiatus" she expected could have happened, whilst she pursued her own solo stuff.

You could say she stopped liking the music they were making and I'd agree with that.

I agree with the above it's a great fan favourite album track but it's just not a fully fledged single.

I don't think we need to be worried at all if they get an underperforming single it's probably about time it's near impossible to keep getting stable top 10/15 hits.

It's done REALLY poorly in the US didn't even go top 60 on itunes did it (Usually they manage 11/12)

I do think it's a case of too much too quickly, HA is still charting and Kiss My has only just peaked (Plus Confetti didn't seem long ago) It's not overexposure but I think it kills a bit of hype when it's just single after single...

Does it concern anyone else that it appears they thought this would be a massive 'moment' and be huge? Or is that just talk? Because it really doesn't sound 'big' at all it's great but pretty middle of the road flat.

I think it’s a combination of over exposure and all the new releases which is leading to the slow start, but once these album bombs fade away I can see it having a good climb. I don’t think it’ll be a massive smash for them but I’m hoping for multiple weeks top 15/20.

For me personally, it just doesn’t sound like a 2021 single. I think it’s the early 2000’s style of production that’s making it not feel right. I’m very interested to hear what the other new songs are like, especially the one they switch this with at the last minute. Bit annoying we have to wait another 2 months

I think the chorus is huge and the bridges are great. I think it feels huge, I don’t get the album track vibes at all

I'm actually obsessed now :cheesebloxk:

I'M SO SORRY FOR EVER DOUBTING YOU LADIES

I think it's Jade's really poor diction in the first half of the song that lets it down slightly, I honestly can't understand a word.

Absolutely agree about Jade, I’m also not a fan of the constant growling but that aside I am enjoying it! I don’t want to be that person though but I do actually feel like this is the first song since her departure that I feel actually misses Jesy’s voice.

This song is huge and a massive ear worm.

It’s defo got lost in the new tracks this week but I can see this sticking around for a while.

I think in a few weeks we’ll start to see the direction it’s going - we just need the album releases to die down
