Yes, Take Me For Ride is good, but Wasted Tears is amazing and should’ve been the lead.

Is the album on vinyl? Went to HMV to get one but no trace :(

There is a vinyl edition but unfortunately it's only available via their official store :( https://steps.tmstor.es/ So strange that they've restricted vinyl availability on this occasion!

I’m guessing the vinyls must not have sold so great last time which is why they have restricted it. They had quite a few last time. Shame no HMV exclusive one though I would have bought it and had it signed at the signing. Currently stood waiting in a long ass queue!!!

^^ Yay!

I compiled H's Instagram story from yesterday into one video on YouTube... I found it entertaining/amusing enough to go to the trouble!

Love to see how well they get on

Finally got round to listening to the album after being on holiday and it being held hostage by the neighbours!

Initial thoughts:

- The extended intro to Take Me For A Ride REALLY elevates the whole song, and takes it into lead single worthy territory for me

- Wasted Tears is decent enough, but I’m not sure it’s single material…

- A Hundred Years of Winter is bloody gorgeous, absolutely stunning. It gives me Call The Shots vibes and feels like it could be their magnum opus if it is indeed the next major single release. I hope it has a really good video to do it justice.

- Living In A Lie is very ABBA by numbers, but it feels a little forced and false as a result?

- The covers of A Million Years and Victorious are fine, I don’t understand the hate for them I’ve seen all over Twitter. Claire’s money note in Victorious though… omg

- High is the only real dud here.

- The Slightest Touch should have had a bigger push as a single.

I haven’t listened to the remixes yet, but I do love the aesthetic of the individual covers bundle.

Not surprising to see them falling behind to the Manics, it does feel like this campaign hasn’t got the momentum behind it as the first part had, and casual fans are possibly confused about what this release is?

'Living in a Lie' is f***ing incredible.

'High' really is a clunker and three quarters isn't it? I'd possibly even say it's the worst song across all 3 of their last albums, I'm convinced they put it on there to bring it down and make the ending with 'The Slightest Touch' even more spectacular.

They need to fall down everything else though 🤣

I know. But how are their fans even aware they have an album out?

So I went to the Leeds signing (and ended up buying an extra cd!) and they were all so lovely. Very friendly and welcoming, H said he loved my Tshirt and I told Lee about how my dad used him in my wedding speech as he was my childhood crush which him Claire and Faye thought was hilarious. A bit rushed by staff but not by them, staff also said 1 cd only could be signed and I was trying to get one signed for my friend too and Lisa said “we can sign both!” ❤️❤️❤️
Why limit it to 1cd signing as I'm sure people would have bought 5 and had each one signed individually by each member.

I guess time?? They had to get to Sheffield for another signing today. I guess a few people were disappointed if they enforced that rule as I saw a few people with more than 1 CD.

Simple solution to that…..

Just get 1 copy signed, and display it on a shelf at home. All other copies just stay with your normal CD collection.

Three of the copies I’ve ordered have been dispatched. Just waiting on the others. Thank you HMV online. 👏

Either way I'm hoping each signing should get them at least 1500 sales that combined will lift the sales.

I hated the googlebox clip shown at the NTAs as it was slagging Steps off especially H.

The same way any other bands fans are aware.

I’m confused by what you are insinuating? Are you saying Manics fans are too old to work out how music buying works? I’m 45 and I certainly know, so is this what you are getting at?
