Despite all the Drake and Kanye, Abba are at #42 and #44 (Don't Shut Me Down is ahead) which bodes well for their chart positions next Friday.

ABBA’s opening positions on AM aren’t too bad considering two album bombs. The album was always going to be the big seller over any single anyway.

Sad but true. It just feels jarring of Spotify (also Swedish, would be nice if they'd support their own on this occasion!) to try and underplay something as big as this and just randomly plop the songs in the middle of the playlist.

 

Surely it would help Spotify's subscriptions (especially with the older generations who they are trying to win over more of) to have the songs and artists with the most hype and curiosity around them at the top of these playlists. They feel so randomly thrown together sometimes that you may as well listen on shuffle and not go for the premium tier package.

 

At least Spotify Sweden have put them at #1 on NMF :)

It came at almost 2 am EST so it was 6 hours. It came 2 hours after normal times.

The Drake songs have randomly disappeared on the Apple Music chart for me on the app. Sure they’ll be back soon but at least it makes it look like an ABBA track cracked the Apple Music top 20 now

To get that high in just 6 hours for ABBA is pretty insane then. Imagine where they'd be if they'd actually dropped at midnight like everyone else on the planet.

They wouldn't have had the same impact of the live broadcast if they'd waited another 6 hours
