September 6, 20214 yr It looks like there might be more Thursday night orders of the abba singles to account for as mine has only just been dispatched.
September 6, 20214 yr Charli at 42! amazing how well this has done with little playlist support until today Surely to get R1 playlisted by Friday.
September 6, 20214 yr I still find it odd how Drake is only 1k ahead considering he’s been ahead of Ed on Spotify and Apple every day since Friday, and on Saturday Drake had double the streams of Ed on Spotify. Ed must be miles ahead on Amazon and iTunes.
September 6, 20214 yr Glass Animals' label must’ve asked for a reset if "Heat Waves" was #45 on last weeks update then jumped to #18 on Friday It got an immediate automatic reset because the ACR rules changed. If a song's streams have increased by 50%, it gets a reset that same week. This is the fifth example (and fourth to affect the top 40) since this rule was introduced I believe.
September 6, 20214 yr I think Ed has this week in the bag then - Drake’s streams might stop decreasing so fast but I think they’d need to go back up to about 700k a day on Spotify for him to hold at #1. Do we have anything on how far ahead of #11 ABBA are and the gap between the two songs? Thanks if so!
September 6, 20214 yr Ed needs to get a new remix out now for bad habits. there’s be no point. given he is going to push a new single from this friday. and bad habits is likey to stay at number one this week anyway.
September 6, 20214 yr Lol by doing 1.2m while Ed did 500k and still ahead on AM and Spotify and be only 1k more? OK I guess he's selling somewhere. A joke, worst song of the year for me, I'm sure Shivers will be even worse. Pepole hate Ed in here but Drake is the most hateful in here in a way that this is my last post for this week. It's a bit of a joke how you all complain about BH being biliion years number 1 but now it's fine. Sure. 🤣
September 6, 20214 yr Does Chromatica being back mean that streams from the remix album have also been counted towards the original?
September 6, 20214 yr Really hope Drake keeps the #1 just to have one week free of Ed being at the stop spot for eternity   Is Chromatica at #26 likely to drop out? I expected some boost of it but didn’t expect it to be ahead of the actual remix album  definitely not complaining but curious

September 6, 20214 yr Very likely Ed coming for the 11th week then. He wouldn't have just let himself fall off the top spot after all! #adelita I guess the only thing that might still keep Drake in the race is the Hot Hits add but I can see him continuing to bleed regardless. These were the Monday midweek figures from 'Scorpion': 2 Drake - Nonstop [21.2k]* 3 Drake (feat. Michael Jackson) - Don't Matter To Me [20.4k] * 5 Drake - Emotionless [18.4k] * 'Nonstop' ended up on 54.7k, 'Don't Matter To Me' held up better and finished on 61.4k, 'Emotionless' finished with 44.5k. (I'm pretty sure this is a fair comparison as I believe the week the free/premium stream split was introduced was in fact the exact week 'Scorpion' came out, and there haven't been any significant changes to the chart calculations since then iirc) The CLB tracks have started with higher figures in the Monday update but are of course dropping quicker on Spotify so that may cancel out to them finishing with similar numbers to those tracks. With that in mind Ed hanging on at #1 does still make a lot of sense despite Drake's initial lead, as 'Bad Habits' was still easily on track to do 60k+ this week regardless. I'm a little surprised he's caught up so quickly though, maybe he's still on course to finish in the high 60s range rather than the low 60s? Also I had previously been comparing 'Girls Want Girls' to 'Don't Matter To Me' but in retrospect it may have made more sense to compare it to 'Nonstop', as DMTM did have slightly higher digital sales for what it's worth because of the MJ feature.

September 6, 20214 yr Doja cat 3rd song does my head on Monday kiss me more by Friday it be blood something else
September 6, 20214 yr Taking song quality alone Bad Habits is a better song than the Drake lesbian one, therefore i'm glad it looks like that probably won't be going to #1 but i'm still hoping something else comes along to disrupt the Sheeran Masterplan and the utter tedium of him replacing himself at #1 for months on end. It's one of those situations that makes the charts look like a complete joke these days.
September 6, 20214 yr 1 Drake feat. Lil Baby - Girls Want Girls (25,419) * 2 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits (24,383) 3 Drake feat. Travis Scott - Fair Trade (23,057) * 4 Drake - Champagne Poetry (21,715) * 5 The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber - STAY (18,357) Seeing these figures has given me hope once more that Bad Habits might actually be able to pull off an 11th week at #1 and I am all here for it. Does anyone know what the longest consecutive run for an artist at #1 is, because if Shivers can hold up then surely Ed must have at least a decent chance of beating it?

September 6, 20214 yr The first single from the new Adele album might do it. True, if she actually does release in November that is.
