Her dance was so good! What a shame for her to be eliminated. Based on the season overall and the points given to the couples, she outdid five of the remaining couples & was level pegging with another couple that stayed. So on paper, Melanie should have stayed around for a few more weeks. Unfortunately she’s suffered the “shock elimination” and had the misfortune of being in the bottom 2 with a couple who were about as strong.

 

I wish Tyra hadn’t cut Len off because I’m interested to know what his ultimate reason was for not choosing Melanie.

 

It seems clear that Melanie found this competition very challenging both physically and mentally, and the injury she suffered on The Games is still a problem in terms of her worry to do certain moves. She says herself that she’s a perfectionist and unfortunately for her she feels that her body can’t quite do what she feels she’s capable of doing, and that must be frustrating. I hope despite the disappointment that she’ll be proud of doing it, and giving some great dances! She shouldn’t feel like she wasn’t good. She was great!

She just failed to get votes from the public and that's the beginning and end of it. She landed in the bottom 2 with another competent dancer and it was a toss up.

 

If she was not pulling in the votes to keep her out of the bottom 2 this early her time was limited in the competition any way even if she survived this week.

Who cares. People love her - and of course she doesn’t have a huge fanbase there, but the comments across the platforms were amazing. I’m sure there’s more to come in the US, don’t forget Melanie is a Talent: she can sing, dance, act, and do many other things. What a woman, pure girl power.

 

So happy she’s coming with new music as she said! It’s always a privilege to be a Melanie C fan.

Im really glad she said that. This venture was totally beneath her in the first place.

 

To be honest, both and Emma went on these shows straight after very successful/respected eras of music and in both cases it seemed really odd for them both. It did nothing for Emma's music career and it will barely do any for Mel's in America.

 

I dont really get the rationale for going on these shows when your main focus is music, but alas...

 

Sad for her but really hope that she focused on music and Spice Girls now.

As I've said previously Emma only made 3rd place because the judges dragged her through that far. Emma when she started being bottom 2 was clearly the better dancer than the other pair in the bottom 2 so it was a no brainer that the judges kept saving her.

 

Melanie C just got unlucky she hit bottom 2 against another great dancer. There was 3 or 4 other pairs the judges would have definitely saved Melanie over them.

No aggression just it isn't really that deep. Lack of votes, plus being in the bottom 2 with another very good dancer and one of them had to leave. There is no conspiracy, no need to be upset. She danced well, came across well, hopefully enjoyed it and took a cheque just was unlucky to not go a bit further.

 

It's not like coming 11th or 6th makes any difference, she's not missed out on anything bar dancing more if hopefully she was enjoying it.

If she takes anything from DWTS it's that she can be more playful with her outfits on stage. Melanie C era was much better in that regard, the pride outfit was great she had for the pride tour. She's got an amazing body she can pull off fun outfits on stage.
