Pray bad habits goes acr next week almost 3 month number 1

Great Isn't it! especially as the song remains a bop :jump:

I'm conflicted

cos I hate those Drake songs, they're beyond lazy and bad and sung in a tone that is so monotonic that makes me wanna go to sleep

but at the same time, Im sure he's gonna crazy more streams than Bad Habits

not even sure how the thing is even close, Drake should be #1 by miles after those streams on day 1 alone on Spotify

only explanation, as bit of help from Alexa like it's happened in the last 11 weeks :/

Intrigued to see who will be #1 next week! Obviously Shivers will be the favourite but if it ends up flopping who do we think would be the next in line?

when Bad Habits getting an 11th week turns out to be the preferable option

Girls Want Girls is yet more lazy tripe from Drake, but I suppose when anything you release is guaranteed huge numbers there's no point in trying...

How terrible, a different song is more popular on a different streaming service. I don't get this Alexa obsession?

Why do you continue to peddle the myth hes been helped to number one every week by Alexa??

Although GWG sounds dreadful musically, some of the interpretations are saying the lyrics are not homophobic or sexist. Doubt R1 would have played it if they thought so either.
I get that NAS is Non-Album Single, can anyone tell me what IG means?

Stay if it somehow avoids! Otherwise GWG I guess. It could be low sales at #1 - probably not quite so low that Bad Habits stays there on ACR though!

Does it take longer for songs to die down on Amazon Music than it does on Spotify?

Instant Gratification - an album track released a single an immediately available if you buy the album

Thanks folks, that makes sense - never would have figured it out on my own lol

'Don't Shut Me Down' really must have established quite a large lead on streaming over 'I Still Have Faith In You' by the end of the week! I've never been a huge fan of ABBA (I think I lean towards liking more of their songs than not but the majority of their stuff I honestly have no strong feelings towards either way, there are only maybe 4 or 5 songs from them that I'd say I 'love') but I'm happy they did get at least one top 10 hit to mark the momentous occasion of their return.

'Heat Waves' only now becoming a top 10 hit definitely feels way too late for me to care any more but it's a more representative peak for the song than #19 so cool I guess! 'Cold Heart' has really been growing on me and has been stuck in my head the last couple of days so I hope it will still be a future top 10 hit too.

Also Drake really is going to have a 5-x chart run again  incidentally with both songs sampling music legends (Mariah last time, The Beatles this time). Lennon-McCartney, ABBA (x2) and Elton John all having new top 15 hits in some capacity this week :cheeseblock: (and Right Said Fred next week I guess? Clearly also an act of the same calibre x)

Hope Cold Heart is coming for that Top 10 next week, it keeps climbing on Spotify which is a great sign!

This deserves to be massive.

Top 30 on Spotify now too so should be top 5 this week imo!

Going back to the chart from 10 years ago, why were some of Adele's singles reclimbing the charts this week in 2011? 'Someone Like You' had moved 43-27-17, 'Rolling In The Deep' had gone 52-49-40 and Make You Feel My Love moved 70-60. She also had another two singles in the top 100 ('Set Fire To The Rain' at #20 and 'Turning Tables, her then new single, at #68). '21' also reclimbed the albums chart 4-2 while '19' was still top 10. A TV special?
It might have been a belated sales boost from her VMAs performance, I can't remember how much impact that had in the UK (the awards were two weeks before that particular chart).
