Never been hugely taken by his older stuff but really enjoying the three new ones, Through The Echoes not as much as the other two which are both great.

another taste of the album, Acid Eyes, out today, very very very very nice <3

yes, was amazing

Lose It is a very interesting song, and unexpected from Paolo, it's almost like a cross between late-90s Blur and Public Service Broadcasting's first album.
I have to say I'm not massively feeling the album outside of the already-released songs but 'Petrified In Love' is an ABSOLUTE BOP!

Julianne is my fav album track, he did an amazing live version

This is actually a pretty GOOD album.

I've never been particularly wowed by Paolo, but the rockier direction suits him

Acid Eyes the highlight

I can see that this album would totally alienate his earlier fans though. There's none of the "cheeky chappy" stuff, and no slushy "Last Request" guff

what? been a fan since day 1 and cannot see how this album would alienate fans, it's just a natural progression from album 3. not sure what you mean by cheeky chappy, if that means poppy songs, he hasn't done that since album 1. don't think this album departs much from Caustic love tbh.

I still don't massively care for 'Through The Echoes' but I was more into the rest of the singles (particularly 'Shine A Light' and 'Acid Eyes', 'Lose It' has grown on me too) so decided to give the album a go after all - I thought I was regretting that halfway through the album ('Afterneath' is a good opener but the rest of the album tracks up to 'Abigail' aren't up to much) but it gets a lot better towards the end, tracks 10-13 is a great run in particular, I think 'Heart Filled Up' may be my favourite song on the album. 'Take Me Take Mine' is a really lovely track too, I wasn't greatly wowed by the rest of the slow ballad type songs on the album but that one managed to hit the spot. Sadly there's no song on here that comes even close to being as good as 'Iron Sky' but nevermind.

Bjork please tell me how I've named the worst songs on the album as highlights :D
