September 24, 20215 yr  Missed the top 40 this week? Jonas Brothers Who's In Your Head Non-album single Released: 17th September 2021 Label: Republic Records Video IL3HwUOT1uI Biography When Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas got their first taste of fame, many erroneously assumed the brothers were just another flash-in-the-pan boy band. What the world got instead was a multi-instrumental trio of talented songwriters with true lasting star power and a roster of canonical pop jams. The Jonases grew up in New Jersey, honing their musical skills in church before finding their way to the majors. Their 2006 debut, It's About Time, paired the boys’ innate talent with Jersey songwriting royalty: Fountains Of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger and Bon Jovi producer Desmond Child. The Jonas Brothers moved to a Disney label for their eponymous sophomore album in 2007 and started a run of appearances on Disney Channel shows, including the now-legendary Camp Rock, earning the JoBros teen fans around the world. They stoked their fiery fanbase with subsequent summer-lovin’ anthems “Burnin’ Up” and “Tonight”, but weren’t afraid to get personal with ballads like “A Little Bit Longer”, on which Nick opened up about living with diabetes. But growing up sharing the spotlight with siblings took its toll, so after 2009’s aptly titled Lines, Vines and Trying Times, the band split. They took a nearly 10-year break to work on outside projects—including Joe Jonas’ DNCE, which produced the catchy “Cake by the Ocean” single—and focus on being a family again. “We had a better relationship almost immediately following the breakup,” Nick Jonas told Apple Music. The group surprised fans in 2019 by dropping "Sucker", which zipped to No. 1 as fans welcomed their return. Older, wiser and happily coupled, the JoBros were back in the recording studio and in a much better place—all evident in that year's more mature album, Happiness Begins. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2008 13 S.O.S. -1- 2008 30 Burnin' Up / When You Look Me In The Eyes -1- 2008 57 Play My Music -OST- 2008 92 Lovebug -2- 2009 56 Paranoid -1- 2019 04 Sucker -1- 2019 39 Cool -2- 2019 64 Only Human -3- 2019 89 Lonely (Diplo & Jonas Brothers) 2019 53 Like It's Christmas -NAS- 2020 22 What A Man Gotta Do -NAS- 2020 82 X (feat. September 24, 20215 yr  Missed the top 40 this week? Bring Me The Horizon DiE4u 1st single from forthcoming studio album Released: 16th September 2021 Label: Sony Music Entertainment UK Video IPUUbVhvqrE Biography Bring Me the Horizon, often known by the acronym BMTH, are an English rock band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Formed in 2004, the group now consists of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records globally and Columbia Records exclusively in the United States. The style of their early work, including their debut album Count Your Blessings, has been described primarily as deathcore, but they started to adopt a more eclectic style of metalcore on later albums. Furthermore, their latest album That's the Spirit marked a shift in their sound to less aggressive rock music styles. The band released their debut album Count Your Blessings in 2006. Upon release, the album's sound polarised listeners, and was met with critical disdain. The band began to break away from their controversial sound with Suicide Season (2008), which was a creative, critical and commercial turning point for the band. Bring Me the Horizon released their third album, There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret., in 2010, propelling them to greater international fame, whilst incorporating influences from classical, electronica and pop. Their major label debut, Sempiternal (2013) achieved Gold certification in Australia (35,000) and Silver in the United Kingdom (60,000). That's the Spirit (2015) debuted at number two in the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. As well as these five studio albums, they have also released two extended plays and two live albums. They have received four Kerrang! Awards, including two for Best British Band and one for Best Live Band. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2013 82 Shadow Moses -1- 2014 17 Drown -1- 2015 55 Happy Song -2- 2015 51 Throne -3- 2015 87 Doomed -AT- 2015 91 True Friends -4- 2015 95 Follow You -5- 2015 97 Avalanche -6- 2018 55 MANTRA -1- 2019 42 medicine -2- 2019 68 mother tongue -3- 2019 77 nihilist blues (feat. September 24, 20215 yr 40 | 38 | 12th week Sigala and Rita Ora You For Me 4th single from forthcoming studio album Released: 2nd July 2021 Label: Ministry of Sound Chart Statistics NE (15/07/2021) | 55-53-37-33-29-28-23-26-26-32-38-40 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 18 Sales 39 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video drzHwf4X_b0 Biography Sigala The Norfolk DJ and producer behind a string of house-pop hits in the 2010s, Sigala makes music that’s irresistible due to its joy and exuberance. His flair for songs full of sunny melodies and big energy reflects his solid grounding in soul, funk and pop gained while growing up and playing keyboards in teenage bands in Norwich (where he was born Bruce Fielder in 1992). He discovered his love of engineering and producing while messing about in a makeshift studio he built with a friend. His first chance to show off his playful sensibility was with his 2015 debut, “Easy Love”, on which he memorably repurposed the squeaky voice of the young Michael Jackson from the Jackson 5’s “ABC” into a piece of shiny dance pop. A No. 1 single, it sent Sigala up the ranks of festival DJs and Las Vegas club headliners. On later hits like 2016’s “Ain’t Giving Up” with Craig David and 2017’s “Came Here for Love” with Ella Eyre—both of which featured on his 2018 debut album, Brighter Days—Sigala reached further heights of pleasure and positivity by combining an eminently modern and tropical feel with old-school elements of disco and ‘90s house. A collaboration with The X Factor winner James Arthur, Sigala’s 2020 single “Lasting Lover” saw him build something fun and unique with the help of another borrowed hook: MGMT’s “Time to Pretend”. - Apple Music Rita Ora On early singles like “Hot Right Now” with DJ Fresh and her own 2012 smash “How We Do (Party)”, Rita Ora exudes the headstrong confidence and swagger of an artist who knows exactly what she’s about. She also knows what she can do with a voice that fits just as well with lovelorn ballads as it does with full tilt party-starters. That combination of positivity and versatility has helped make Ora—born Rita Sahatçiu in Prishtina in the former Yugoslavia, in 1990—one of the most successful British female solo artists ever. And even though her troubles with her first record label led to a long delay for the follow-up to her 2012 debut Ora, she filled the gap with feature appearances on tracks by Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX and Avicii, along with a stream of UK Top 10 singles such as the dreamy “Anywhere” and “For You”, a duet with Liam Payne for the soundtrack of Fifty Shades Freed. (Her role in the steamy screen franchise as Christian Grey’s sister gave her another chance to show off her glamorous side.) In 2018, Ora released Phoenix, an apt title given her determination to survive any storm and come out sounding as fierce and forthright as ever. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Sigala 2015 01 Easy Love -1- MILLIONAIRE 2015 03 Sweet Lovin' (feat. September 24, 20215 yr 39 | 37 | 16th week Marshmello and Jonas Brothers Leave Before You Love Me Non-album single Released: 21st May 2021 Label: Republic Records Chart Statistics NE (17/06/2020) | 75-69-43-35-28-32-26-25-24-27-29-28-30-37-37-39 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 07 Sales 39 Audio Streaming 56 Video Streaming Video hmUyEDG7Jy0 Biography Marshmello Marshmello might just be the unlikeliest pop star you could imagine—the anonymous DJ/producer is known only by his cartoonish, marshmallow-shaped mask, with its broad smile and big, sympathetic eyes. But given the way his music has resonated, he’s clearly the pop star we needed. He got his start with an equally unlikely fusion of tough-as-nails trap and candied EDM, and as early fans debated his identity, a co-sign from Skrillex gave singles like 2015’s trance-laced “Find Me” a viral boost. On Marshmello’s debut album, 2016’s Joytime, his signature qualities began to come into focus—the wistful vibes of “Summer”, the playful melodies of “Blocks”, the chilled-out cool of “Keep It Mello”, featuring deliciously laidback rapping from Omar LinX—but it was the nostalgic “Alone”, with its twin nods to 2000s emo and 1980s electro-pop, that solidified his persona. (“Alone” also kicked off a string of clever coming-of-age-themed videos that reinforced his essential relatability.) Since then, Marshmello has gone from an EDM curiosity to a ubiquitous fixture in pop, using collaborations with artists like Selena Gomez and Logic to further his singular brand of fun. - Apple Music Jonas Brothers When Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas got their first taste of fame, many erroneously assumed the brothers were just another flash-in-the-pan boy band. But when Clean Bandit turned Mozart’s melodies into deep house on their 2014 debut, they somehow made it seem natural, rather than like a novelty. But then, two founding members of the London group are themselves classical musicians: Cellist Grace Chatto and violinist Neil Amin-Smith played together in a college string quartet when Chatto’s boyfriend, Jack Patterson, recorded a performance and began chopping it up over beats. Somewhere in between that “eureka” moment and writing 10 songs in the two weeks before their first gig, Clean Bandit (rounded out by Patterson and his brother Luke, a drummer) forged their sound: a lively, springy fusion of pop and dance, buoyed by classical music’s sense of scale and a conductor’s intuition for featuring the right soloist at the right time. In the case of their stratospheric 2014 breakout hit, “Rather Be”, that soloist was Jess Glynne, an all-but-unknown singer whose soulful but unpretentious tone control made her the perfect fit for the song’s memorable keyboard riff. Since then, Clean Bandit (sans Amin-Smith since 2016) have turned to an ever-expanding roster of guest vocalists—Charli XCX, Rita Ora, Demi Lovato—while cleverly tweaking their style to suit each voice: sparkling reggae backbeats for Sean Paul, skippy syncopations for UK garage icon Craig David. Over the years, Clean Bandit have largely traded classical motifs and house beats for acoustic guitars and slower, more tropical grooves, but the spirit of their music remains the same, distilling complex emotions into an unforgettable form. - Apple Music Topic German songwriter, producer, and DJ Topic refers to his sound as "melancholic dance music." His songs typically combine striding house beats and light guitar melodies with yearning lyrics about heartache as well as dancefloor escapism. He made his full-length debut with 2015's Miles, and later scored a worldwide hit with 2019's "Breaking Me," featuring A7S. Tobias Topic was born in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in 1992. He began producing music using a digital audio workstation when he was 16. Using social media to launch his career, he released his first single, "Light It Up" (with vocalist Jona Selle), in 2014. His debut album, Miles, appeared in 2015, containing several additional singles, including "Home" (featuring Nico Santos), which was certified platinum in Germany and Australia. He continued releasing additional charting singles such as 2016's "Find You" (with Jake Reese), 2017's "Break My Habits," and 2018's "Perfect" (with former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke), which became his first song to reach the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. Topic's first major worldwide hit, "Breaking Me," featuring Swedish singer A7S (Alexander Tidebrink), was released during the final weeks of 2019, and hit the Top Ten in two dozen countries by the end of 2020. Topic reunited with Santos on the 2020 single "Like I Love You," and collaborated with A7S and rapper Lil Baby on "Why Do You Lie to Me." - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Clean Bandit 2012 100 A&E (feat.
