The way that this is actually a strong possibility lmao. Drake did 2,028 pure sales, Ed doing 202,800 pure sales isn't even far-fetched.

Analysing it a bit closer, EOM is still the #1 song in every major city in the U.K. on Apple Music, so it’s not likely that Shivers is going to surpass it anytime soon.

Adele still did 97k in streaming sales last week tbf (and she won't be dropping nearly as quickly now as she did from week 1 to 2), 'Shivers' would have needed a pretty huge boost to overtake her! I think Ed's best chance of hitting #1 this week would have been 'Overpass Graffiti' taking off in a big way straight off the bat with some help from CD sales, looks like it probably isn't doing enough for that so quite likely Adele will be holding #1.

 

'Shape Of You' went from 73k to 94.9k in streaming units the week '÷' came out, a similar 30% increase for 'Shivers' would not have put it anywhere close to Adele's streaming total from last week.

Ed now has 8 of the top 10 on Apple (Adele still #1 and Elton holding out at #5, falling behind 'Overpass Graffiti') + 11, 13, 14, 15, 18 and 19. 'Visiting Hours' is now the third lowest song.

Måneskin's 'MAMMAMIA' has also had a huge rise in the last 24 hours, up 69 places to #97, a new peak for it despite the onslaught of Ed album tracks and Halloween songs! I wonder if this is just some Apple specific phenomenon (i.e. being added to a big playlist or something) or a sign that it might be starting to actually regain some traction. Notably it's also now ahead of their previous hits.

All tracks from = are now top 50 on Amazon except Be Right Now (#51). As Bré says, albums rarely make much impact there, and in the last few months I think only Easy On Me (#1) and Bad Habits (about #11) have had a first day that high. 8 of those = tracks are top 20 with Overpass Graffiti the highest new one at #9, and with 2nd versions of Bad Habits and Shivers there too, Ed has half the top 20. Interesting to see if they continue to climb tomorrow.

No, they updated. Shivers did 5.5 which is okay I guess. Love In Slow Motion only 1.2M, that’s not even top 50 globally. No.6 had all in the top 50 (lowest 1.6M), Divide even top 40 (2.1M).
