#68 physical in the 19th November chart sold 11 copies, so maybe around the same for #71 this week?

Maybe some of the bundles got delayed and shipped haha

I think sadly the majority of people who bought the single would have done so when ordering the album - I guess anyone that just wants the single now will be put off by the £7.50 charge including delivery for 1 track.

This song is growing on me again and again.

I dont mind it but I dont get excited by it when I listen to it either.

Think I mentioned previously that the Kylie remix of 'Starstruck' is on the deluxe of Years & Years' album 'Night Call', now it's been revealed 'A Second to Midnight' is also on there.

It's rare an artist feature/collaborator appears twice on another artists album.

Its good publicity for Kylie. I hope she sings more than 1 song, even if irs A Second To Midnight and Starstruck. I guess some people know already who went to the filming!

I think that’s the fireworks themselves which lasts like 10 minutes. I think the concert Kylie will be doing with Olly is 20 minutes either side. They do get good ratings but the average is like half the amount of the fireworks.

It will be interesting time.

 

Yesrs and Years album is out on 7th I think and features both Starstruck and A Second to midnight so those too songs should get more streaming that week also plus any new years playlists etc.

 

Really do think it's a waste if they don't somehow promote Second to midnight by releasing some kind of download

A second to midnight seems to picking up sales here and there in low numbers so it should eventually get to 100k I think which would be alright for a single that so far hasnt charted.

Ideally it would chart on the week years and years have the album out but I cant see the album selling in big numbers prob 7k max.

Yeah, that album is going to bomb massively sadly. :(

 

I think the only vague hope we have of a chart appearance is the NYE performance they're doing, but even that's a slim to none possiblity.

Just returning to this: the NYE concert last year (Alicia Keys) rated 4.5m for the first half.

 

The concert is longer than I remembered - this year it's 35 minutes for the first half and 25 minutes for the second. It appears Kylie only appears on the first half with Pet Shops Boys on the second. This is the synopsis for Kylie's half:

 

Years & Years singer Olly Alexander throws a spectacular New Year's Eve party as we build up to the midnight moment. Olly performs many of his hits and some surprise cover songs as well as duetting with a special guest, pop superstar Kylie Minogue.

My guess is Olly will perform on his own, then Kylie will join for 'Startstruck' then 'A Second to Midnight' in the last five minutes.
