I totally agree.

I’m glad this is just not another ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ which is what you expect an Ed Sheeran Christmas song to sound like but instead a full on cheesy Christmas song. The last part of it has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
Hope you're planning to turn your radio off for December given this is going to be on every radio station.

It's a radio-orientated Christmas nostalgia-fest we haven't anything this good in that category since Darkness.

Underneath the Tree? Santa Tell Me? One More Sleep?

Its the best Christmas song for me since one more sleep.

Agreed.

Not sure bout Xmas week, but looks like it will be #1 this week, and sure next week to with eh signed CDs...
I’ve heard this twice now and it isn’t sticking. It just doesn’t seem catchy? Certainly not a Christmas classic in my book but is going to no.1 so will no doubt be a Christmas staple.
Really shocked that it debuted at 3 here in Ireland, i was sure it would be number 1 here aswell.

Obviously all the effort is just for UK #1 as it will fade into oblivion on Dec 27.

Until next November!

Love the video I have to say with all the pointers to the old Xmas songs!

You should see it’s Billboard Top 100 debut position (#72) then if you think the Eire position is bad.

Well would have hoped for more based on Ed’s name power but unlike in the U.K. the old Christmas songs don’t have their streams halved over there. ITunes sales are poor though.
This does seem like a very UK-centric release tbf. Also Ed's name power in the US has never been nearly as big as in the UK and especially not now, notably he didn't manage to chart any album tracks off '='.
Yeh the video is very much a history of uk Christmas songs!
