His numbers are not even good but he make that happen somehow. At least I hope he understands it ending next week. I’m weary of people telling others their opinion is ridiculous or being mocked for having it or even being treated as if they are less intelligent or even ‘crazy’ because of what they’ve posted. I’ve basically stopped posting my thoughts on Ed Sheeran because I can’t be bothered with the same comments. Being told it’s not his fault he’s popular, he’s only doing what everyone would do , etc, etc. It’s just all so BORING now. The charts are so dull and Ed should take some responsibility for that. Sure, he’s not the only one who should but why has having a rant about something bothering a poster suddenly become so frowned upon? Why is anyone trying to change anyone’s mind? I guess if Ed’s music really was the second coming, maybe I’d feel differently.

October 12, 20214 yr I'm not really sure why Ed needs to take "responsibility" for what other people are streaming? Playlist exposure and promotion helps but at the end of the day, if people don't like the song, nobody's forcing them to stream it. I'd prefer a quicker turnover at #1, and Bad Habits blocked my song of the year from the top spot for six weeks, which is a shame because STAY has been a gigantic hit regardless and a #1 peak would've been fitting, but I don't begrudge Ed being #1 the whole time.

I don't have much of an opinion on it tbh, I think it's unfortunate people are creating a fuss about her appearance again with the knowledge that's something she's very insecure about but I also accept that as a white person the video maybe is offensive in a way I wouldn't immediately notice. As for her and Nicki creating more drama out of it... again controversy sells. All I know for certain is the song itself is shockingly bad lmao.
