Will have huge first week streams and although it's a fantastic album and MUCH better than 'Divide' it only has 2 big singles on it IMO ('Bad Habits' and 'Shivers') and not hearing a huge 3rd single 'Divide' had 4 including 2 gargantuan ones 'SOY' and 'Perfect'. So sadly overall won't sell as much (even accounting for shrinkage in market). But what a great nice suprise after that horrific collaborations album.

Pleasantly surprised having had a listen. I do think that Bad Habits and Shivers are the two worst songs on that album really. They sound nothing like the rest of the album.
My ideology is that if Coldplay could do 100k these days then I don’t see how Ed can’t do 5 times better…he has everything in his favor (signed cd’s, streaming, downloads etc etc)
Voted 350-400k. Great album with best track for me being First Times.

Nah, he'll be lucky if he hits 400k. My bet is 250-300k.

But none of his songs is even #1 on AM so if he is gonna do over 100k, it'll be mostly sales anyway.

Does that matter when his top 2 songs get weighted down anyway? (also Adele is #1 and she's a behemoth of her own)

Really surprised to see that his album is 5 on Apple Music, generally thought he would have hit number 1 with ease, gunna lower my prediction to 170k first week

Of course not, but it's Easy on Me's third week vs. Ed Sheeran album release week. It is pretty reasonable to think that something on the album could be stronger.

It’s #1?

It’s #1?

Not showing that on my Apple Music charts showing up as 5

That's definitely some kind of glitch or something, one look at the Top 30 songs on AM right now would tell that = is far and away the most listened to album on the platform today.

Ed is showing as 1 on my feed with Richard Ashcroft at 2 and The War On Drugs 4

Well yes, literally no album ever has come close to doing 100k in streaming sales in a single week lol

That's put me off in that case.

on kworb the top 5 albums looks very different

1 Ed

2 Richard Ashcroft

3 War on Drugs

4 Mastodon

5 EJ

6 Joe Bonamassa!!!!!!!!!!!

8 Tori Amos!!!!!!!!!!!!

but I guess thats without playlists. If only the OCC took this into account, think it's a million times better representation of what albums are being streamed.

That's the iTunes chart, not Apple Music  https://kworb.net/charts/aitunes/uk.html This is Apple's top 20:

1. Ed Sheeran - =

2. Drake - Certified Lover Boy

3. Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under

4. Coldplay - Music of the Spheres

5. Richard Ashcroft - Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1

6. Elton John - The Lockdown Sessions

7. The War on Drugs - I Don’t Live Here Anymore

8. Doja Cat - Planet Her

9. Dave - We're All Alone In This Together

10. Lana Del Rey - Blue Banisters

11. Kanye West - Donda

12. Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR

13. Mimi Webb - Seven Shades of Heartbreak

14. Various Artists - The Greatest Showman OST

15. Potter Payper - Thanks for Waiting

16. Megan Thee Stallion - Something for Thee Hotties

17. Young Thug - Punk

18. Adele - 25

19. Lil Nas X - MONTERO

20. Meek Mill - Expensive Pain

The Apple Music album chart on Kworb hasn't updated in a short while.

Based on the streaming numbers, I say 120k.

Yeah the streaming numbers are bad but he has like 50 millions editions of the album, I'm sure he's gonna sell well.
