Agree Totally. I was more then pleasantly surprised by the Album. I actually think "When you Danced with me" may end up being the most popular song on the Album

I think you're making a huge mistake, judging how Adele's album is gonna do on the basis of the single performance

Singles and albums are two world apart. If something you should look at how the single performed on day 1,

thats a good indication of how much people want the Adele album

But the along stay performance on Spotify depends on the Spotify generations, the kids well < 18, these people dominating the singles chart cos they idiotically listen to the playlists like sheep, these people don't go out and buy albums, singles and album charts are two different entities

I couldn't care less how Adele's single is performing cos it has nothing to do with the people that will buy the album

Like all those people age 12 that now discover Love in the Dark thanks to Tiktok, sure they can stream it and make it viral... but do you think they'll buy the album on CD? no way

Think she's gonna do much much better than Ed, like 5 times better and sure also better than ABBA, 500K minimum if not more

This album is classic ABBA through and through. Definitely doesn’t disappoint. Shame it is only 10 tracks but if nothing else, encourages repeat listens. If general audiences feel the same, this could be quite the consistent streamer.

 

 

Heard all the new tracks on YT and am impressed. Great stuff. Keep An Eye On Dan is great.

 

When You Danced With Me is brilliant. Could be a No.1. single from 1976 easily.

I’ve got an email from the ABBA Store saying my order has been delayed for an unspecified length of time. I went for MULTIPLE formats and bundles, so I wonder how that might impact pre-orders/first week sales if it’s a widespread issue.

There’s no way Adele will shift 500k in the first week. Her sales will be no way near that amount. The market has shrunk considerably since her last album. She might shift 200k in the first week but possibly not even that much. I think the singles performance is an indication of how the album might do. Apart from the first week, the single has dropped in sales sharply in comparison to bad habits, which sold consistency well over a much longer period.

I bought the vinyl from HMV at lunchtime and haven't stopped listening to it since, I love it! Keep An Eye On Dan is my early favourite track. My bundle from the official store has just dispatched too.

Lots of different editions. Apparently there's the softpak, Digipak edition and the CD jewel case though why anyone would choose the latter over a proper case I have no idea. :rolleyes: Then a dearer Digipak with postcards. I hate the cardboard Digipaks. My CD case has just arrived from Amazon. Are there any cassettes released?

Abba? There's 6! One with the standard cover, one for each member and an alternative cover which includes the images from the member covers.

 

Really annoyed as I ordered the CD from the official store and it's a card sleeve which got damaged when I tried to remove the cellophane cover. Saw it in a couple of shops in a plastic sleeve.

I can't stop listening to Keep an eye on Dan and When you danced with me, they are both so full of energy that you forget these 4 people on all in there 70's!

Voyage is beautiful! Reminds me why ABBA is legendary!

Adele is the Queen of defying expectations, remember everyone was saying it'd be impossible for her to get anywhere near 200k for 'Easy On Me. Quote me if she doesn't do at least 300k.
