Oh Jesus I’m the first one who hate to use word flop but for someone like Ed’s caliber it feels like a flop!!!

I thought he had 500k in a bag but it seems like he’ll be lucky to reach 200k at this rate!!!

25 Somebody's Watching Me

31 Time Warp

70 Super Freak

47 Meduza - Tell It To My Heart

65 Abba Cadabra - Double Tap

69 Da Beatfreakz - Money Calling

72 Acraze - Do It To It

79 M Huncho - Hiatus

Tori Amos and R.e.m both much lower than i thought they would, great start for the Spice Girls.

Tori Amos vinyl is delayed until Jan and she had 2 different versions, will definitely cost her a decent chart placement this week.

This part is blatantly false. Ed's albums have done roughly 71 million equivalent album sales in total, 25 has done roughly 28 million equivalent album sales in total. Even just talking about pure sales Eds albums have done around 36 million combined, while 25 has done around 23 million. Adele is a bigger albums artist than Ed without a doubt, but there's no need to twist the facts.

Sheeran's pure sales (worldwide) - 23M pure album sales:

1. + (Plus) - 5.45M

2. x (Multiply) - 9.05M

3. ÷ (Divide) - 7.65M

4. No.6 Collaborations Project - 1M

Adele's pure sales (worldwide) - 60M pure album sales:

1. 19 - 8.66M

2. 21 - 30.32M

3. 25 - 20.87M

Missing Data: Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube (all for Sunday) and HMV (for Friday)

Top 5 sales now in this post with missing data info - significantly, no HMV for Friday...!

Single sales yesterday:

12.0k Shivers

11.7k East On Me

10.1k Bad Habits [on SCR, where it would currently be #4]

9.2k Cold Heart

6.6k Overpass Graffiti

1 Ed Sheeran - = (84,178) *

A total flop for Ed, he must be so angry right now :arrr:

Halloween songs:

76 Jump In The Line (Shake Senora) [??????]

The first thing that came up when I googled this song was a scene from 'Beetlejuice', so I think it might be that connection.

There really is a big battle for Number 1, ED vs Adele and ED vs Ed, i think it will be either shivers of easy on me at the end of the week.
Absolutely not a flop by any standards. But yes, disappointing.

I’m wondering if Adele should be concerned at this point, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

Considering she has basically avoided the spotlight and music biz for 5 years, I don't think she is concerned at all.

The first thing that came up when I googled this song was a scene from 'Beetlejuice', so I think it might be that connection.

Yes I googled it too, but how is it in the top 100 today? hasn't made the Apple or Spotify chart. has it just done well enough on Amazon to briefly make the mids?

84K for Ed's album is a bit underwhelming but it has been a few years since his last album output, probably under 180-200k (depending what needs to be added) by the end of the week

Once the Halloween songs are out of the way by the end of the week, other tracks out of the 40 will edge back in.

Hmv sales missing for Friday will be why Ed isnt higher that must be thousands of sales not included. Will probably help the physical selling new releases like Spice too.
Ooo so does no HMV data for Friday mean any pre-orders from HMV aren't included in the sales figures (as well as the days sales)? That would likely take out a chunk of Ed's sales. He may already be on 100k+ once you included HMV for Friday.
Well, HMV data missing for Friday is potentially kind of a big deal - I don't think it'll be enough to swing his sales into something that won't still be underwhelming, but it could definitely explain how he's only barely beaten the Monday midweek of a late stage Coldplay album. (Is it really only Friday missing for HMV? A bit odd if we have the HMV sales for Saturday and Sunday but not Friday )
