Sam Smith had 2 versions of “Lay Me Down” chart in 2015 - one solo and one a duet with John Legend for charity. Think it was requested that they were kept serrated though.

'All Too Well' has had a massive cult following for a long time, I think it was definitely her most popular / well regarded album track already (and the existence of an original 10 minute version has been known for pretty much as long as the song has been out there I think so it's had nearly a decade of anticipation, kind of a holy grail for the Swift fandom).

 

It literally has a section on its Wikipedia article titled 'legacy'.

Kanye has released a deluxe of his album (midweek again, of course), I don't think the other new songs will make much impact but I wouldn't be surprised if 'Life Of The Party' (w/ André 3000) does quite well as it was a pretty high profile leak a few weeks ago. (Specifically because it was somehow leaked by Drake, cuing clowning that that was the best song Drake has released this year).

 

Interestingly 'Life Of The Party' has even been given a separate single release which is the explicit version (explicit versions exist of some of the other tracks from the original album but have never been released). Also it does actually credit André 3000 unlike the other collabs from the album. (Someone called IRKO is also credited on it, no idea who that is)

those examples, Proclaimers and Sam Smith, those new versions were for charity, so one version of the song had benefits going to charity, the other didn't, so were asked to be considered as different versions and not combined

 

I think if Taylors label protested and insisted on the 2 versions being combined, the OCC will grant it

cos it's not a different song, its just the same song + adding verses

 

It's no different than when someone does a dance mix or when new versions with a new feature include exclusive new lyrics

Thats good that Raye might get a hit to make up for her Riton collab sadly not making top 40. Also it seems rare now for a UK rap song to gradually rise into the official top 40 as this might, usually they either debut top 40 or don't make top 40 at all.

it's beyond silly that artists are not credited cos they're in a single with somebody that has a very long name so their name doesn't fit

 

like the other day I noticed Summer Walker released this song called Something Real

with London on da Track and Chris Brown but since London is such a long name, there was no space to credit Chris Brown :D

It’s a Monday, which means yesterday was Sunday. EOM never does well on weekends. It should climb throughout the rest of the week and comfortably remain #1.

EoM's #1 spot on official chart hasn't been in doubt, and even less since yesterday when it was #1 on First Look against Shivers (being #2 on the two weeks before).
