Had to get an early night so caught up on the Graham Norton interview this morning and am obsessed with Ariana being asked if she knows EastEnders :lol:

She's really putting in the work for this Oscar campaign - I can barely keep up!

I loved the film, but I just hate her and Cynthia's interviews. They both cone across as really ingenuine. I'm guessing they've been told to channel their characters in the promo, so they're acting, and creating a disconnect.

 

I didn't know Cynthia was a powwrhouse singer as well till the film :o Ariana's singing was pwrfect, of course. I waa really impressed with her acting, too.

 

The worst part of the film was those guards singing, she's wicked, kill her, in high pitched, unnatural, church chorua-like vocala. It was just eisiculous andnreally took me out the film. Just have them chant it or shout it, not do whatever THAT was. Christ!!

Pretty cool seeing all of those noms/wins together - pleased that this role has garnered so much positive recognition for her in the acting world.

Yeah I feel like the most common concerns I read before the release of the movie were Ariana's casting (as her acting portfolio until now is mainly Victorious) and the movie being split into two parts. Thankfully both Ariana and the storytelling went down well, hopefully they stick the landing for part two as well.

Suddenly felt like I'd been transported back to 2018 after seeing Ariana and Pete Davidson being mentioned in the same sentence again lol, good that things appear to be amicable:

She's up for 'Best Supporting Actress' and Wicked has 7 noms in total.
