Well it is lazy and predictable, sadly. I hope that they get the appropriate feedback that treating such a release this way as been catastrophic.

The whole thing has been poorly handled when we know they can do better than this as we have evidence that there are better quality audio of other shows out there anyway. It's just all quite bad, and maybe this time they did it too badly, enough for the fans to step back this time. Ive seen a lot of people saying they will certainly not bother spending money on this, and I agree. I have ordered the CD and the double vinyl but even I am considering cancelling those as the content just isnt appealing to me at all...

I honestly doubt Spiceworld25 will go Top10. At best, it will be just Top20 for a week, if that....

Do crap stuff, get crap results back.

2CD has been delayed due to a printing issue. More drama, though clearly it is not their fault here, so lets be nice

The only thing i ordered ffs.

The Spice Up Your Life live version is really in shit quality, i rather wanted them to release the live in birmingham version.

This did make me lol, from Melanie C’s Attitude magazine interview:

Then there’s Spiceworld 25, the re-release of the girls’ second album at the beginning of November, to talk about: “We’re always across everything because we hate the thought of our fans being shafted, because they collect everything,” says Melanie.

We’re very sorry to report that due to a printing error, there will be a delay in shipping the 2CD format of Spiceworld25 worldwide. We are incredibly disappointed and understand that you will be too but this is beyond our control. We would like to offer our sincere apologies, ensuring that we deliver the best products possible is always our priority. As soon as we have a new delivery date confirmed, we will communicate this to anyone who purchased the 2CD edition. Anyone who has ordered a bundle including the 2CD, will still receive the other items in their bundle on Nov 4th and the 2CD will follow upon release separately with no additional shipping charge. All other products remain unaffected and will still be shipped as planned. Thank you for your understanding on this very frustrating issue.

I’m curious about what specifically the error was but I suppose we’ll not find out.

We may as well stop being overly bothered about where the album will chart; having 0 cd sales is a bit of a disaster. Presumably it would have sold at least around 1000.

Just think, if the label weren’t so anti CD and had arranged other formats, like 1 CD versions, this wouldn’t be as much of a disaster because at least they’d have attracted some CD sales.

The announcement of Robbie's 25th anniversary reissues for his debut album... they make me mourn for what we could have had, and honestly what we should have had from the Spice Girls anniversary albums.

LIFE THRU A LENS (25TH ANNIVERSARY 4 CD BOXSET)

https://robbiewilliams.com/products/life-th...ens-4-cd-boxset

CD1 - Life Thru A Lens: The Original Album

CD2 - Life On The Flipside; B-Sides and Bonus Tracks [20 tracks]

CD3 - Work In Progress: The Making of Life Thru A Lens [15 tracks] - contains previously unreleased demo recordings, alongside rehearsal recordings and rare remixes.

CD4 - Life On The Stage [16 tracks] - the complete concert recorded at the Forum in north London on 3 June 1998, released that November as ‘Live In Your Living Room’ on VHS tape and VCD but never reissued

An additionally frustrating aspect to the Robbie releases is that they're via UMC, who are also behind the Spice Girls albums. So clearly there's some sort of (bad) influence from one or more people in the Spice Girls team that results in less exciting track lists than they could come up with. Robbie's release shows what can be done if you're willing to give everything to it. That is how you do an anniversary album.

Maybe they gave the production issue but actually reworking the 2CD set? One can hope!

Actually, since they are being delayed, why not drop the individual vinyl covers around the new release date too? Surely, that will help with the chart lol.

the live version of SUYL is horrid how have they cleared this?

they really have not got a clue !!!

They themselves are. Remember: they all need to agree, which means that all it takes it one of them blocking a track for it not to be released.

Wow! This really puts things into perspective. SW 25 deserves to flop.

Even if they'd stood firm on not including any unreleased songs they might have from this era, there's still more they could have padded out the formats with.

Omgggggggg stoppppppp

And one of them is Victoria......

Are we surprised? I think it's her and Geri but their reasons are probably different :teresa:

They finally got round to changing the header pic on Spotify to SW25 globe.

THANK f***! It was bothering me so much :arrr:

Spice Up Your Life (live in Arnhem 1998) debuts on Spotify with 10,037 plays

Step to Me is on 166,462 on Spotify and 53,835 views on Youtube after two weeks

They really have such low streaming numbers hey, f***ing hell...

Edited by Mr.X

I don't know why you expect big streaming numbers for a live track? The fact 10k people actively went on to their profile to listen to it (as it isn't getting passive plays from playlists) is good to me. Also it isn't like live tracks have great replay value, especially of a song we have 2,638 versions of already.
