:winner: To all of this, Jay.

There's also an irony that comes along with any fan preaching about other fans feeling "entitled" for wanting more, when those same fans not-so-secretly have what we want, and what we know exists. :rap:

Yep, these same fans have had Melody of Life and Sugar And Spice for years. They also have the full rap version of Say You'll Be There. We're the entitled ones though for wanting unreleased songs that Biff has teased for an decade.

Funny that you pointed out leader of the gang and the live in Birmingham both things I said in my post. It’s really not “on me” it’s your rude choice of language since it is clearly also about me since I also said it. That is on you.

Well I don't care if you think it is rude to say that people need to get a grip if they think putting a song by a child abuser on a reissue of an album would make it better. I personally think it is not only sad but pretty shameful that anyone would even consider it.

His music is completely blacklisted and rightly so and any Spice Girls fan who does think Leader of the gang should be released needs perspective.

If that upsets you then so be it, I am happy to stand by my opinion.

Again just focus on one thing and ignore everything else to suit your argument…

There is nothing wrong with you having your opinion and I respect and see where you are coming from, but there is no need for you to call people delusional or that they have lost their grip on reality, but you continue to be rude.

While I am here I will say you criticising fans for having a negative opinion on this release is the biggest hypocritical thing I have seen in a long time as you are quite possibly THE most vocal person to call anything Melanie C or Geri does as shit or low rent or whatever. Behave the way you want others to.

This is the last I am posting about it since you are clearly not going to apologise, because let’s face it when have you ever?

People have lost grip of reality if they think Leader of the gang should be released in any way shape or form for their own enjoyment. I'm not going to sugar coat that because you think it might be rude or apologise for it.

As for fans criticising they can go ahead, my point was a lot doing it are being hypocritical as they were the same fans saying they would give anything for Step to me to be on streaming. Or they wanted the live album from 98.

If you wanted unreleased unheard studio tracks then fair enough (though no one knows if any actually exist from the SW sessions) then criticise away. It is the moving of the goal posts just to criticise that is eyerolling.

"A brand new 'Spice Girls Party Mix', which pulls together some of the Girls' biggest and most popular hits in a near-fifteen-minute fiesta of brilliant Pop music."

How intriguing!

I'm interested in hearing this for a couple reasons:

1) to see how it compares to the GH era megamix

2) to see if Holler makes an appearance on it (interested to see if they dip into Forever; if they don't, *maybe* they have others plans for that album later on)

Was the viva forever remix ever released. The file I have says purchased in 2014. But not my file it’s someone else’s. Was it uploaded on iTunes by accident by someone and then removed?

^ Not that I can recall? :o

That remix was is from a 1-track promo CD-R from 1998. I can't remember when it was first shared around the fan base, but I do know that for a while it was only in 128kbps quality. Then somebody shared it in 320kbps in 2013. I can't find any info but I'm sure I remember reading that somebody actually contacted John Themis to ask if he'd share the high quality file and that he actually did.

Imagine if they really trolled us and included a small portion of WOMAN in this remix lol :teresa:

Maybe the person just edited the tags to make it fit his library with all purchased. Their name was June.

I know not everybody cares about fonts, but it hasn't escaped my attention that they're using the original font on their official store (not completely, there's other fonts used too), as well as in the Step to Me lyric video.

Apparently a fan provided it for the team (which I can believe, considering how they're using a fan's retouched photos for the formats). Although curiously they still decided to use a "close but not quite" font for the text in the ring of the globe image on the artwork.

I'm glad that they've ultimately decided to use the original "girls in the letters" correct font logo for these Spiceworld formats. I still wish they had done this for Spice 25 rather than create a new one.

This amused me:

Time flies! :kink: That's probably when they will release unheard songs... :teresa:

256 years later and still no WOMAN…

Some pictures of the formats from www.bravado.de that were not included on the Spice Girls official store:

The 2LP format is the first time the Spice Girls have ever released a double vinyl album. (I'm still annoyed that they didn't release Greatest Hits on 2LP <_< )

To be fair, you're just preaching to the choir here - I haven't seen anyone on here even suggest that Leader of the Gang should be released because of the reasons you mentioned. I think all we can hope for is that someone in their camp "accidentally" leaks the studio version one day (but I doubt that since I imagine once the Gary Glitter p**** scandal hit that very few have it + everyone related to anything official Spice probably just wants to forget it exists).

I mean, bring it up with the Spice Circle lol

sammy, you do this all the time mate so it is a bit of a scream you are here talking like this tbh

I havent seen anyone here calling for leader of the gang to be released, and those on Spice Circle might not even know it was by a p****?

Fans will get to experience that song anyway in the movie when it is re-released again next month :teresa:

Two formats are finally showing up on Amazon UK:

https://amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B5YS5R4J Picture Disc - £28.37 (#154 in Amazon chart)

https://amazon.co.uk/Spiceworld-Spice-Girls/dp/B0B84DFHKH 2CD - £30.02 (#47 in Amazon chart)

As far as I can tell it's just those two. Those prices won't do them any favours...!

Once again, I think the label has made a mistake by not creating a new 1 CD version for Spiceworld. I believe this project required a physical format that acts as a cheaper entry point for people to purchase this album. It's a bit crazy that the cheapest option out of the 5 formats is the Double Cassette costing £19.99.

It honestly baffles me that the label has a blind spot when it comes to CDs, particularly because they are still the dominant physical format for UK album sales.

Recent examples:

Steps - 'Platinum Collection' - they sold 14,171 CDs of its 24,123 sales first week sales, that is 58.7%.

Robbie Williams's XXV album - 28,398 CDs out of 37,925 first week sales - 74.9%.

Compare this to 'Spice 25', which sold just 1,464 CDs in its opening week, out of 7,798 overall sales. That means only 18.8% of its sales came from CD.

Clearly there is still a market for CDs. Thousands of CD sales can be achieved if the options are attractive i.e. different artworks, different track lists, reasonable prices - which is what Steps, Robbie and countless other artists do, and it pays off. Time and time again they've been proven to have a wide appeal.

I am convinced that the Spice Girls have a market who'd be very open to buying CDs, yet the label refuses to explore that option outside of just one overly expensive version. I believe that if Spiceworld had 5 individual member cover CDs, they'd have sold thousands of them.

We know that it was only a few months until the 'Spice 25' CD became half price. Did this - and the fact it only sold a little over a thousand copies - give no indication to the label that perhaps the £30 price tag was too much? Yet they've gone and repeated this for 'Spiceworld 25'. No doubt it'll be down to £15 at some point in 2023.

I would say it's a reasonable prediction that the 'Spiceworld 25' CD is unlikely to reach the near 1,500 sales of 'Spice 25'. Why why why is the label limiting their potential? :(

I understand that the label has a desire for people to buy the 2CD, but it's really short sighted to make it the only option.

The label will get out of this project what they've put into it, I'm sure...

Ok I cant win, Spiceboy having a go at me because he did say about adding Leader of the gang and wasn't happy with my opinion, Mr.X having a go at me because no one on here said they wanted Leader of the gang.

I'm out, bye.

I haven't seen anyone on here even suggest that Leader of the Gang should be released because of the reasons you mentioned.

To be fair on Sammy I did bring it up as an example of how they could have had a better tracklisting than what we got when I said

CD1 - Original CD

CD2 - Live in Birmingham Concert

CD3 - A collection of B-sides, other tracks recorded like Leader of the gang, My boy lollipop, Sisters, We are family and then some unreleased Spiceworld or Spice tracks then Step to me.

I wouldn't say I am demanding it, just that there are other options there to put out for the fans, its not like they don't have any material to pad out a collection.

I do however understand and respect Sammy's point of view just not the way he put it across, and actually as a victim of child sexual abuse myself I think I am allowed to suggest this without being accused of not having a grip on reality. This is probably why I find it so offensive but then how was he to know that I guess.

Anyway my point is lets try not to get personal with it, at the end of the day we are all entitled to be happy or unhappy with the release, I won't be buying anything personally as I have no incentive to do so.

I'm out, bye.

Even though I sometimes don't like the way you say certain things and often disagree with you, I have to admit your presence is valuable to the forum. You contribute a lot.

So, in the words of Kylie:

Just to clarify, I'm not taking sides. I just don't want to see anyone leaving. We can all get along, even when we disagree, I'm sure.

Can't with people being the most.

That would be SO SMART, Jay!

So in short, we can rule that out :teresa:

^ :kink: !

I just noticed that the bonus cassette has a slightly different track list to the bonus vinyl. Essentially the cassette has the Party Mix on it instead of the Stop Morales Remix Edit that is on the vinyl.

Another curiosity about the double vinyl and double cassette - both feature the extended mix of Step to Me, but not the 7" mix. Maybe they feel that's better value as an inclusion? Though I prefer the punchier 7" mix to the slightly drawn out & nearing 6 minutes extended version.

I have to say I don't really understand why the bonus cassette is edited down to 10 tracks. All 15 bonuses from the CD could easily have fitted onto the cassette. Not that it personally matters to me considering I won't be playing the cassette, it's just a bit curious that they saw fit to exclude 5 tracks when they didn't need to!

I understand cutting tracks from the vinyl because 15 tracks would have been too much of a squeeze... but I find it disappointing that they decided that it would have to be the B Sides that got the chop from that format. It would have been cool to be able to play Walk of Life and Outer Space Girls on vinyl. We already had them on CD in the first place, so them being on vinyl would have been exciting.

Personally I wouldn't have included live tracks on the vinyl, and kept those as a CD and digital exclusive. With the view to eventually release a full live concert album on vinyl instead.

My ideal Spiceworld 25 bonus vinyl track list (from the songs they provided on the CD) would have been:

Vinyl Side C:

1. Step to Me (7" Mix) [4:05]

2. Outer Space Girls [3:58]

3. Walk of Life [4:16]

4. Too Much (SoulShock & Karlin Remix) [3:54]

5. Viva Forever (John Themis Ambient Mix) [5:43]

Total: 21m56s

Vinyl Side D:

1. Spice Up Your Life (Morales Radio Mix) [2:50]

2. Stop (Morales Remix / Edit) [5:52]

3. Spice Girls Party Mix [14:44]

Total: 23m26s

So I would have excluded the 5 live tracks, the Step to Me demo and extended. I think I'd have chosen to play the above track list a lot more often than the actual track list. Personally I'm not someone who chooses to play live track audio very often. I'd prefer to watch a live performance if I'm going to hear live audio. On that note... release a full length Istanbul DVD, ladies! :drama:
