Looks like this is scrapped. Why rush the video in October and then not release before Feb. So I guess the Disco campaign is ended for now. Maybe they are going to release the new album sooner rather than expected and want a gap...?

Who knows!

I wonder what stuff hides in the Kylie vault sometimes!!

Can't believe that this was even considered as a single, its easily the worst track on 'Disco' (all editions) & all meanwhile amazing tracks like 'Miss A Thing', 'Dance Floor Darling', 'Supernova' & 'Last Chance' were sat on. I know none of them would have made any chart impact, but maybe 1 or 2 more singles from the standard edition could have helped drive album sales & these tracks are up there with some of Kylie's best work. Still mad at 'Dance Floor Darling' only getting a radio release, they could have at least made a proper music video for it.

While the re-release did get the album back into the top 10 (which is great), I just didn't find the new songs as good as what was already on the album. Also I heard a rumour that there was a music video shot for 'Last Chance' in December 2020, does anybody know what happened with that?
I've literally never heard of a 'Last Chance' video existing. Where did you hear this?

It was on her wiki page Last Chance - song, the info was revealed in November 2021, can't find any other info about it though.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone on SayHey made that up one day, and people just went with it.

:kink: Extremely plausible

Find it strange that 'Last Chance' had a scrapped video when 'Real Groove' which was an actual singe didn't have one, which looking at the dates when 'Last Chance' was supposedly filmed in December 2020, the same time 'Real Groove' was released. Was 'Last Chance' lined up for a single release, but then scrapped or was it gonna be a promo single. It's just odd.

Anyway don't get why they didn't release a 4th single from the original edition of 'Disco' as there were plenty of choices on there & the 8 month gap between releases didn't help matters as a 4th single in early 2021 could have easily kept momentum going. Hell why wasn't 'Dance Floor Darling' given a proper push as there was enough time & even that could have helped with album sales, in the same way the several singles from 'Golden' did.

The release schedule could have looked like this =

Say Something - July '2020
Magic - Sept '2020
Real Groove - Dec '2020
Dance Floor Darling - April '2021
Last Chance - July '2021

I can’t believe the hate for the Gloria collab - I mean IMO none of the 3 extra tracks are particularly good or will go down in Kylie history as classics but compared to the other 2 it’s a masterpiece

I appreciate 'Kiss of Life' for actually being proper disco, unlike the majority of the album which (as much as I love it) is actually wishy-washy dance-pop and not disco as such. I do think that will hold up the most for me over time, it's a burst of pure frenetic joy.. 'A Second to Midnight' is a bop but fairly throwaway, admittedly. I just can't with this one I'm afraid. It's a bloody racket.

I think the problem with the new songs is the standard in my opinion on the original disco was so high that it was hard for the new songs to shine through, it didnt help that none of them aren't exactly even in mid table Kylie standard. The Gloria duet in particular was a real low but at the same time im happy Kylie did the re release and extended the disco campaign and kept it going for that bit longer.

^^ Exactly that, the original ‘Disco’ was so good that everything else felt a bit meh.

Like you said I’m pleased BMG gave us an updated version and all the epic formats though, the vinyl variants for the Disco era were on point!

Overall Disco was handled really well, of course i would loved the singles to have done better but that is something Kylie cant do much about but in general it was a great era and one i will always remember fondly it helps that Disco is a genuine great album.

Would not surprise me.....

If she is in Milan she is coming to UK and then to America to promote the wine so why not promote Gloria song in USA while she is in UsA. Probdbly have a live performance lined up

Yep.

They have obviously thought lets keep it for a bit of promo when she is back in UK and more importantly probably while she is on a trip to USA to start her wine promo.

That video is coming.

I like the song, nothing wrong with it, she doesn't chart in singles anymore so its not going to be seen as a flop, more of a promotional tool, grab a few more streams and a few more YouTube views and finish Disco campaign off
