I mean, 15-week Streaming chart #1 Bad Habits didn't get off to the best of starts on Spotify either. And we wonder why no one releases in December anymore. Ed/Elton will still be easily be ahead of Gayle across all the streaming services, with just the big two established Christmas songs as competition for #2 this week, I wouldn't have set the expectations where that's any sort of let down.

 

Just under 2.5k between those aforementioned big two today, when will Wham! overtake...

If the CD single sells in high numbers it could be the what gets Ed Sheeran and Elton John to Number 1 which I would support as it is a proper Christmas single and original which we need more of.

Have there actually been any previous Christmas songs that debuted this highly on Spotify? There aren't any that come to mind unless I am forgetting something obvious. It's a saturated market already.
