The Fireboy DML remix debuted with 70,694 streams on Spotify (including 1,746 from Australia/New Zealand on Wednesday). The original Sickick remix received 475,365 streams, a big increase on last Thursday when it had 400,366 streams, so clearly it helps that it follows directly from the Fireboy DML remix.

Combined streams of 546,059 is easily the highest for the song. Hopefully the streams will increase tomorrow - even though it doesn't feature on New Music Friday, people should be notified about it via their personalised Release Radar playlists.

The Fireboy DML remix has entered at #50 on Nigerian Spotify with the original entering at #114. The original also enters French Spotify at #145 with 46,041 streams. 63,663 streams came from Germany (#130, up 6 places).

As expected, Fireboy DML remix of 'Frozen' increased to 157,236 streams on Friday, then went down to 96,401 streams on Saturday. The original received 502,955 and 489,630 streams respectively, up week-on-week.
At her age she is promoting smoking? Wow... Does she think it makes her "cool"?
^ she has smoked in many videos, her age shouldn't be an issue

The only element to the video I like is the images from 1998. Totally unnecessary project, yet more proof that M is slipping into irrelevancy, in a bid to somehow stay relevant. I weep for what could have been, for the legacy that seems to be fading into obscurity, overshadowed by a caricature. Her life, her choices, but as a lifelong fan, it's so disappointing.

You guessed it, I don't like this project at all.....

I really like the video. The slightly extended version, with little breaks between Madonna's bit and Fireboy starting, the little gap in between his verses should be on the single release.

Madonna seems to be there as a "this songs samples my song so I'm here as a Legend" sorta thing... she barely even tried to mime along.

Of course it isn't the original, it's not even attempting to be.

As a whole, the project isn't quite what I hoped for... but it's relevant and Madonna is part of it so I'm quite happy.

Meh the video isnt doing anything for me

#41 on sales and downloads; being credited as a new entry too instead of continuing from Sickick version that was charting. Guessing that's because this version has been released by Warner instead of whatever label Sickick is on (the archive on the OCC isn't working yet so can't check).

I really like the video. Wasn't expecting anything extraordinary for a remix video but there's some nice shots and I like how elements of the original 'Frozen' video have been included. It's also nice to see Madonna not drowned in filters and effects!

Video is #17 on YouTube Trending and received around 438k views in its first 24 hours.

I'll always love her to bits, but I think I'm starting to accept she's just not the same Madonna for me now. It sounds sad, but it's incredibly hard for me to view her as anything other than a caricature. :(

The original Sickick version was released on Warner Records, too.

Same thoughts exactly. I think I'll forever be obsessed with her music and imprint in pop culture but it's now more respecting her past as a pioneer as opposed to her latest incarnations.

The original Sickick version was released on Warner Records, too.

Hmm, seems like an oversight on behalf of the OCC. I suppose, like Haus suggested, this remix could be combined with the original 'Frozen' (hence no credit to Fireboy DML), but in that case surely the original Sickick remix should too.

I suspect they wanted better for the Fireboy DML remix but at least it's been quite stable. No appearances on New Music Friday won't have helped.

The remix is #102 on the French singles chart. Chart run so far: 190-140-102. Also charting on airplay; chart run: 96-26-24

Sick Kick remix is still selling more than the fireboy version!
When you got the call from the Queen of Pop herself to work together on the Sickick remix of her 1998 Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit “Frozen,” was there a sense of validation of like, “Wow, I’m really making it” or like a pinch-me-I’m-dreaming moment?

Fireboy DML: I was gassed — but I was more honored. I would have been starstruck when I met her, but she just made me feel at ease. She reached out to me, she’s been a fan since I dropped my debut album in 2019. We talked a few times. [she asked], “Would you like to be a part of it?” I’m like, “Of course! This is a classic! I’d be honored!” And then I got in the studio, we shared ideas over WhatsApp call, and she finally approved the verse. It was very organic, nothing was forced, the energy was right.

And then we linked up in the U.S. last month when I was touring and squeezed out a day to shoot the video…. It’s a crazy video, I love it so much. She was amazing on set, cracked everybody up. She’s so full of life, witty and sarcastic. She has a unique character for a 63-year-old. [Laughs.]
