I remember Swae Lee was reported to feature on the 'Frozen' remix (they were photographed in the studio together) but I'm guessing he was just replaced by Fireboy DML rather than being due to feature on this one. I too am hoping for a bit of a variation in sound; would certainly welcome some Madonna verses and not just the same looped section of the chorus.

That's what I'm hoping for too! And would love Swae to feature on one of the versions because the pair are GREAT together (and he is usually strong on features in general).

I wonder if the idea was that the Fireboy remix took off and made the charts, and then this remix was released a little later to help it maintain the momentum?

 

If so, then at least someone somewhere was recognising how things can work these days... it's just unfortunate that the first part of the plan didn't go so well.

I thought the idea was for the Fireboy DML remix to boost the Sickick remix and them be combined and give it a better chance of charting, however the OCC crediting them separately suggests they’re not combined.

Why did she bother showing up? (Madonna) This is like an album teaser commercial. New song my arse. 070 Shake singing over the same remix that Madonna didn't even make in the first place is such a lazy cash grab.

 

Plus Madonna from even the 2000s would be embarrassed by this Madonna. Sorry to be shady but she could do with a better stylist. Those platforms aren't doing anything for her proportions.

Admittedly my interest in this lasted for the duration of the video, but I do think it's kinda cool that Madonna's used this remix as a way to promote new and upcoming artists as well as give exposure to the original remixer. Also good that she's capitalised on something that has actually been something of a hit for her, ironically without her doing anything at all.

 

I think we were all hoping for verses from the original song added in, perhaps with new Madonna vocals, but I don't think that's likely.
