early favourite is Darjeeling, which interpolates Olive's You're not Alone <3

Edited by Bjork

This is really eclectic on first listen and does have enough of her ethereal qualities of her last album. I would say that "Tears in the Club" is one of the least interesting things here. Need to listen to it loads more to see what my favourites are. I love most of the voice notes although in a couple of places go on a bit too long.

This is such an inspiring and strong transition into confidence while still keeping the sensitive sensual side we all got used to. I can really feel she really enjoyed making this. The fact it's officially a 'mixtape' makes sense too as there's less pressure and more room to experiment with collabs and I can only imagine what her next 'album' will be like *.*

'thank you song' though. gurl. Arca baby <333

^ saving it for the proper album I guess :D

She said in her Apple Music interview that the Dua collab isn't even finished yet

Honestly, there’s actually no reason why Dua & I haven’t finished ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’. I’ve been busy doing my mixtape, but maybe I’ll give Dua a call. Maybe it’s something that we need to — yeah, we’ll do it. Yeah, we will. We’ll do it.

The deep backing vocals on ‘pamplemousse’ are those of Matty Healy! He’s been Twigs’ boyfriend for a few years now, so I hope they have a proper collab at some point.
Well this is an incredible listen! 'jealousy' is my favourite because I knew it well before I listened to the mixtape but the entire vibe of the project is sublime. I love the spoken interludes too

I need to relisten to my faves before commenting fully but this is twice in the span of 2 weeks that an artist has wasted one of their best instrumentals on a song that's way too short / more gimmicky interlude than song. First 'Every Angel Is Terrifying' and now 'pamplemousse'. Booooo

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to overall though (wasn't sure what to expect as I was mixed on the singles - 'tears in the club' is a banger but not that huge on 'jealousy' though it's grown on me a little bit), 'darjeeling' is my fave on first listen :cheeseblock: but there are a ton more highlights many of which I think will probably sound better on repeat listens. This is actually the first full project I've listened to from her as I never got around to 'MAGDALENE' oops (again because of being mixed on the singles, loved 'holy terrain' and 'sad day' but couldn't get into the other two).

'Cellophane'?!

I heard a few of these tracks on Radio 1 on Wednesday evening so need to listen to the rest as what I heard was really good and peaked my interest in her (hadn't taken much notice before).
Ended up charting at #42 in the UK :/

'darjeeling' is still my fave from this I think (or maybe 2nd fave after 'tears in the club' because I am basic) but after relistening to my other highlights the biggest growers have been 'ride the dragon', 'papi bones' and 'meta angel', while other instant highlights 'honda' and 'thank you song' remain up there too. And I still think 'pamplemousse' would be contending for my absolute fave if it wasn't so short. Kind of similar with 'which way' too.

I think the only song on here that I wasn't really feeling at all was the Daniel Caesar collab, I've seen lots of other people calling that a highlight but I found it quite boring oops
